Eagles-Cowboys Final Injury Report: Philly’s active roster is almost entirely healthy

Eagles-Cowboys Final Injury Report: Philly’s active roster is almost entirely healthy

Week 10 game status updates.

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their third and final official injury report on Friday in advance of their Week 10 road game against the Dallas Cowboys.

The big news is that everyone on the active roster — save for one player, Ben VanSumeren — is listed without a game status for Sunday.

This means Jalen Hurts, A.J Brown, DeVonta Smith (who was notably upgraded from limited to full on Friday), Saquon Barkley, Dallas Goedert, Fred Johnson, Mekhi Becton, Cam Jurgens, Darius Slay, Josh Sweat, Nolan Smith, Bryce Huff, Ainias Smith, and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. will all...

Nick Sirianni Provides Confusing Update On Jalen Hurts

The Philadelphia Eagles have won four in a row and are 6-2 heading into their NFC East matchup at the Dallas Cowboys.

All is well in Philly, but head coach Nick Sirianni threw an odd curveball out there during a recent press conference in the form of a confusing health update on quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Asked why Hurts was limited at practice, Sirianni may have revealed more than he wanted to.

“It was on the injury report dealing with the ankle. Just making sure we’re precautious with everything,” Sirianni said, via Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Eagles Film Room: Concept of the Week - QB Counter Bash

In addition to writing the All-22 offense and defense reviews after each Eagles game this year, I will also write this one called ‘Concept of the Week.’ I will break down a specific concept or play on offense and defense and explain the play in more detail. Hopefully, this will allow you to look out for that play in future weeks. This week, we will look at the Eagles’ use of QB Counter Bash against the Bengals, which the Eagles ran on Jalen Hurts’ rushing touchdown.

I’ve often discussed this concept, so I had to discuss...

Eagles a -7.5 Road Favorite Against Dak-Less Cowboys

The Philadelphia Eagles are tied with the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers as the biggest favorite on the point spread for Week 10 in the National Football League.

The Birds are a 7.5-point favorite for the trip to face the Dak Prescott-less Dallas Cowboys. The over/under sits at 43.5.

The Cowboys were already down for the count before Prescott got hurt last week, but now they’re in even worse shape with Cooper Rush about to take the offensive reins.

Dallas is one of the worst teams in the NFL against the spread at 2-6. Both of the spread...

The Eagles will have two Cowboys quarterbacks to prepare for

Jerry Jones said Trey Lance could factor into Sunday’s Week 10 matchup.

The Eagles head to Dallas for their Week 10 NFC East matchup against the Cowboys, and thanks to Jerry Jones, the Birds might not be completely surprised if Trey Lance ends up on the field.

With Dak Prescott sidelined for multiple weeks due to a hamstring injury that reportedly involved some muscle separating from the bone, Cooper Rush has been named QB1, with Lance serving as the backup.

Jerry Jones spoke about Lance being QB2 and mentioned that they have some packages in place that would get Lance...

Did Nick Sirianni accidentally reveal that Jalen Hurts is dealing with an ankle injury?

Hmmm.

Interesting moment from Nick Sirianni’s Friday morning press conference: the Philadelphia Eagles head coach was asked why Jalen Hurts was listed as limited with a “rest” designation on the injury report earlier this week since that’s not the norm for him.

Here’s the entire exchange in text form:

Q: We haven’t really seen Jalen be held back for load management before. What was behind that on Wednesday?

NICK SIRIANNI: Yeah, he was dealing with— it was on the injury report. Dealing with the ankle. And, you know, making sure we’re cautious with everything.

Jalen Hurts didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday and Nick Sirianni was asked about it Friday, resulting in a confusing exchange here:

Hurts appeared on the injury report both days as REST, nothing mentioning an ankle. Jalen Carter was not on the injury report at all, and the last time he was, it was a shoulder issue, so that would seemingly rule out...

The most surprising thing about Eagles’ hot defensive start - NBCSP
During this four-game winning streak, the defense has been spectacular, allowing just 11 ½ points and 215 yards per game. This is only the third Eagles defense in the last 70 years to allow four or fewer offensive touchdowns and fewer than 900 scrimmage yards in a four-game span. They also did it during the 2017 championship season. The only other Eagles defense with a four-game streak like this over the last 70 years...

The Cowboys’ best chance at staging an upset.

The Eagles should destroy the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday at 4:25 p.m. at AT&T Stadium. Then again, the Eagles, up 22-0 at one point, should have destroyed the Jacksonville Jaguars, and just got by. Then again, the Eagles, up 10-0, looked like they were going to destroy the Cleveland Browns, and just got by.

The Philadelphia “just got by” Eagles will be facing a depleted Dallas Cowboys team without quarterback Dak Prescott, who suffered a serious hamstring injury last week against Atlanta and will be out at least four games, replaced by...

Insider Touts 1 Running Back As Offensive Player of the Year

There are two running backs who have been dynamite this season for their respective NFL teams and have made massive impacts while putting up huge numbers.

Derrick Henry, who signed with the Baltimore Ravens as a free agent during the offseason, is having what could be a season for the ages, while Saquon Barkley, the Philadelphia Eagles’ big acquisition this offseason, is also playing extremely well.

It is rare for a running back, especially nowadays, to win the NFL MVP award, with the last one to do so Adrian Peterson back in 2012.

But Henry and Barkley are among the...
