Jerry Jones said Trey Lance could factor into Sunday’s Week 10 matchup.

The Eagles head to Dallas for their Week 10 NFC East matchup against the Cowboys, and thanks to Jerry Jones, the Birds might not be completely surprised if Trey Lance ends up on the field.

With Dak Prescott sidelined for multiple weeks due to a hamstring injury that reportedly involved some muscle separating from the bone, Cooper Rush has been named QB1, with Lance serving as the backup.

Jerry Jones spoke about Lance being QB2 and mentioned that they have some packages in place that would get Lance on the field — and not just to get some playing time, but in a meaningful way for the offense. The team owner didn’t overtly say they would include these plays against the Eagles, but it’s still probably less than ideal for the Dallas coaching staff for the information to be out there.

Cooper Rush is 5-1 as a starter for the Cowboys, so he’s not a walk-over backup that Philly will face on Sunday, and hopefully the Eagles’ defense prepared for Lance, too, just in case.
