Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin will be featured in a new documentary called “The Object of the Game.” The documentary premiers Super Bowl week on Amazon Prime. It centers around former St. Ignatius High School football coach Chuck “Chico” Kyle, who is a legend in Northeast Ohio.
Kyle led the Wildcats to 11 state championships and four national titles in his 40-year career. The film is inspired by Kyle’s book of the same name, in which the longtime educator shares his wisdom on building a winning football program and how lessons learned on the gridiron can be applied...

Across the Pittsburgh Steelers’ roster, there are some aging veterans. Most of them play on the defensive ball. One is T.J. Watt, who long ago established himself as one of the best defenders in football and the face of the Steelers’ defense. While Watt has enjoyed sustained success through most of his career, he’s only […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers wasted no time beginning the search for their next head coach. Just a day after Mike Tomlin resigned, Art Rooney II described what he was looking for and how long the search might take. Later on Wednesday, reports of interview requests started flooding in. For a search that Rooney said will take […]

For most of this millennium, the Cleveland Browns have been the model of how not to build a franchise, so it should come as little surprise that their search for a new head coach is going poorly. They started their search a week before the Pittsburgh Steelers, yet they couldn’t make a hire at this […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed tight end JJ Galbreath to a reserve/future contract, the team announced on Friday. Galbreath was with the team in 2025 as a undrafted free agent out of South Dakota but was released in September. He’s now back for 2026.
Galbreath, 24, signed with the Steelers this April as an undrafted free agent out of South Dakota. He was waived by the team in the final roster cuts this August, but cleared waivers and was re-signed to the practice squad. He was not elevated for either of the first two games before he was released.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker James Harrison thinks the Steelers need a down year in order to get back to contending. Similar to how the New England Patriots had back-to-back 4-13 seasons and landed star quarterback Drake Maye at No. 3 overall in 2024.
The Steelers have lost in the Wild Card round in five of the last six years, which means they usually pick in the low 20s. The chances of landing a franchise quarterback that late are pretty slim.
“This is a rebuild,” Harrison said on his Deebo & Joe podcast on Friday. “Period. I know the Steelers...
The Pittsburgh Steelers have brought back TE JJ Galbreath, the team announced today. The former UDFA has signed a Reserve/Future contract that can carry him through the offseason. Yesterday, the UFL announced Galbreath was removed from the Orlando Storm’s roster. Clearly, this is the reason why as Galbreath’s path to the NFL has opened back […]

FRISCO, Texas – Before leading Iowa to a 9-4 season and a No. 17 finish in the AP Poll, QB Mark Gronowski was a standout at South Dakota State. In fact, Gronowski is the winningest quarterback in NCAA history with 58 career victories, and at South Dakota State one of his offensive linemen was Steelers […]

Over recent offseasons, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been more willing to give big money to players outside the building. Trading for and signing DK Metcalf to a massive extension, although it wasn’t through free agency, is a good example. So is the large contract Pittsburgh signed Patrick Queen to in March 2024. At the outset […]

The Pittsburgh Steelers set their assistant coaches free after longtime head coach Mike Tomlin stepped down last week. One of them, now-former Steelers defensive coordinator Teryl Austin, could have another job lined up elsewhere.
“Another name to add to the Commanders’ defensive coordinator search: Steelers DC Teryl Austin interviewed for the job, per sources,” The Athletic’s Commanders reporter, Nicki Jhabvala, wrote Friday on X.
The Washington Commanders ranked dead-last in the NFL in terms of yards allowed and 27th in points allowed this season. They produced the second-fewest turnovers and gave up the most first downs. After a 5-12 campaign,...

This year, Joe Clark, Dr. Melanie Friedlander, and […]
