We’re just over a week away from the start of Seattle Seahawks training camp. The reigning Super Bowl champions have one of those good problems: a lot of talent but only so many roster spots available. It’s very much like when they won their first Super Bowl 12 years ago, which means camp competitions will be plentiful and fierce.
As part of our training camp preview, we’re taking a look at a handful of players who are on that bubble to make the 53-man roster.
As a third-round pick, Haynes was brought in as competition for...

There’s a whirlwind of opinions about what the New York Giants can be this upcoming NFL season.
Some believe with John Harbaugh as head coach and Jaxson Dart entering his second season, along with the additions the team made this offseason, they can contend for a playoff berth. While others feel the additions were modest and they’re still holes across the roster, which will result in another losing season.
Much of New York’s success will come down to a six-game stretch following their bye in Week 8. During this stretch, they play four playoff teams that had a combined 63-39...
In the NFL, a player’s third season is often considered the “make-or-break” year for their career. So, it isn’t terribly surprising that the Las Vegas Raiders’ 2024 draft class as a whole has something to prove during training camp this summer. However, outside of Brock Bowers, there’s a decent chance that the seven other players the Raiders selected that year become obscure on the roster.
Las Vegas has already moved on from seventh-round picks Trey Taylor and M.J. Devonshire. Taylor played on special teams for nine games during his rookie season before getting cut after last year’s training camp, and...

49ers FB Kyle Juszczyk couldn’t say enough good things about UDFA RB Kaelon Black through their offseason program together. Juszczyk raved about the rookie’s strength and fast-twitch ability, as well as his passion for film sessions off the field.
“I’ve been so impressed by Kaelon Black,” Juszczyk said, via the 49ers Talk podcast. “He No. 1 is a ball of muscle. This guy is absolutely jacked and he’s explosive. That’s really what has stood out to me is how twitchy and explosive he gets through that hole.”
*“Been really impressed with him physically, mentally as well. Like just...

Welcome to the second installment of my preliminary rankings and tiers for each major position for fantasy. Today I’m hitting everyone’s least favorite position: Tight end. OK fine, some people like kicker even less. In most leagues, you must start a tight end, so you can’t just ignore it.
You can find all my preseason fantasy content, including my other rankings and tiers, here. I’ll update rankings in late August. Hopefully, these initial looks will help you to start thinking about player values and draft strategies.
Before we get to the rankings, here are three observations on the TE position....

Defensively, the Atlanta Falcons have struggled, despite having a defensive-minded head coach in Raheem Morris for the past two seasons. Others might suggest that the Falcons’ defensive problems start at the top, with general manager Terry Fontenot not doing enough to address apparent weaknesses.
Well, both Morris and Fontenot are no longer working for the Falcons. Now, the team is moving forward with the offensive-minded Kevin Stefanski, and former NFL QB Matt Ryan is making decisions at the top as team president. But that doesn’t mean the Falcons don’t have young defenders with sky-high upside.

The Cleveland Browns have seen defensive greatness for several years now. All-World EDGE rusher Myles Garrett has won two “NFL Defensive Player of the Year” awards, and just last year, first-year linebacker Carson Schwesinger took home the “NFL Rookie Defensive Player of the Year” award.
The franchise has a history of having very good defensive units going all the way back to Paul Brown. During Marty Schottenheimer’s tenure in the late 1980s, Cleveland ranked in the Top-11 all four years on this side of the ball, including being ranked #2 in 1987.

Soccer fans witnessed Argentina’s epic 2-1 comeback win over rival England on Wednesday to advance to the World Cup final. Argentina scored its two goals late to secure the victory. In the spirit of collapses, it’s time to look at what might be the Los Angeles Rams’ biggest choke job in franchise history.
Earlier this offseason, I revisited the Rams’ greatest comeback ever, and now it’s time to do the opposite. Just last season, the team blew a 19-point lead to the Eagles in Week 3 and a 16-point lead to the Seahawks a week before Christmas. While those losses...

A few weeks before he announced his retirement in early June, quarterback Russell Wilson claimed that the Jets made him an offer in free agency. Had he signed with the Jets, Wilson would have slotted in behind starter Geno Smith, his backup in Seattle from 2020-21. But it doesn’t appear there was any real chance of that happening, as Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic writes that talk of the Jets making an offer to the 10-time Pro Bowler “was overblown.”
Wilson now works for CBS, leaving Bailey Zappe, Brady Cook and fourth-round rookie Cade Klubnik to [compete for the Jets’...

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end JJ Galbreath peeled back the curtain on one major difference between Mike Tomlin and Mike McCarthy.
“Last year, coming in, I felt like there was a tension in the air being around ___,” Gallbreath said Wednesday on The Banner Show. “That also could just be because I’m an undrafted free agent rookie, so you’re trying to make every interaction positive…
“I would say it was a lot more tension-based, and very like, ‘This is our schedule, and this is exactly how it’s gonna be.’ So far this year, we’ve had a little bit [of] slack here...

The Ravens have a three-way battle for their starting center job on tap heading into training camp. Could they add a fourth contender?
Longtime Colts backup Danny Pinter is seen as an early leader, due in large part to his experience – 10 starts in five NFL seasons – and his competition’s lack thereof. Neither Jovaughn Gwyn nor Corey Bullock has started a single game across their four collective years in the league.
But if Pinter’s resume is a plus, where does that place Ethan Pocic? The 30-year-old has 97 career starts across five seasons with the Seahawks and four...
