It was never a question since the loss to the Tennessee Titans, but now it is a reality.
The Arizona Cardinals are officially eliminated from the NFL Playoffs.
What is staggering, is in their time in Arizona the Cardinals have never been eliminated this early.
Now, it’s a bit of semantics, because it happened on the last day of November so they are technically eliminated before December, but that is still another amazing feat this year.
People are split on things.
I’ve seen a lot of blame on the staff, as the team seems unprepared consistently.
I’ve seen it on...
Revenge of the Birds
The Arizona Cardinals once again found themselves with a chance.
I guess that’s all that fans want anymore, because they fall to 1-5 with Jacoby Brissett as quarterback and now are 2-14 in the Jonathan Gannon era when any quarterback not named Kyler Murray starts games.
The defense once again played well enough to win, a second straight week, although it wasn’t as impactful as last week’s four turnovers forced game, but the offense was once again impotent.
Yardage and plays don’t matter when you don’t score points.
After giving up an average of 35.3 points per game the last...
Revenge of the Birds
The first drive was fun until Jacoby Brissett struck again.
His inability to finish drives continues to be an issue, and he’s missed a number of throws over the middle the last two weeks, all of that is why the Arizona Cardinals trail 10-3 at the half.
But I go back to what I’ve said since he started, this was inevitable. You can’t ask your QB to take 10-plus hits a game and expect him to continue to perform at a high level.
This is the Cardinals offense almost completely healthy by the way. Only the running backs are missing...
Revenge of the Birds
Happy Sunday morning one and all.
The east coast, early game gives the Arizona Cardinals a chance to either get their win out of the way and let the rest of the day be enjoyable, or will give us a chance to move on with our day if they continue to find new and inventive ways to lose.
Should be fun… right?
Here is everything you need to know about today’s matchup between the Cardinals and Buccaneers.

The Arizona Cardinals are bad.
No one can deny that and how they have been losing is especially disheartening, as they had done while looking completely inept, but then last week they looked like they belonged on the field with the Jaguars, and maybe were even a better team, but their offense was borderline awful.
That led to a historic loss,...
Revenge of the Birds
The Arizona Cardinals have an early, east coast game.
Coming off three straight losses, two of which they were never competitive in.
They just lost in a historically embarrassing fashion in overtime to the Jaguars last week.
Things are going well in year three of the Jonathan Gannon era.
Jess and I are back, talking the Cardinals against the Bucs and giving our thoughts on if they can compete with the Buccaneers.
It was unknown whether the Bucs will have starting quarterback Baker Mayfield or backup Teddy Bridgewater. Mayfield injured his left shoulder on Sunday night against the LA Rams....

Happy Sunday morning one and all.
The Arizona Cardinals take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today in Tampa, meaning they are ready for a morning kickoff.
So are we.
The Cardinals are going to see a banged up Baker Mayfield, while dealing with a number of injuries of their own. Can they find a way to continue to compete? Can they find a way to actually win a game?

Revenge of the Birds
The linebacker room for the Arizona Cardinals is a bit full, so the team released Xavier Thomas prior to this weekend’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Recently, LB B.J. Ojulari was placed back on the roster, and now word is that LB Baron Browning is ready to be released from concussion protocol. This placed a bulge in the linebacker corps. It took forever for Ojulari to return to the field and Browning has been out for two games.
Thomas was selected in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL draft out of Clemson....
Revenge of the Birds
The hits keep coming for the Arizona Cardinals.
After waiting patiently to get Will Hernandez back after a knee injury last year, the team announced today before their matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that they have placed Hernandez back on injured reserve.
On top of that they have activated rookie Hayden Conner from injured reserve.
From the team:
The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced the following roster moves:
– Activated offensive lineman Hayden Conner from the injured reserve/designated for return list
– Elevated tight end Pharaoh Brown and linebacker Channing Tindall to the active roster from the practice...
Revenge of the Birds
At the beginning of the season, it appeared that the Cardinals were poised to be a playoff team. Fast forward to now, Arizona sits at 3-8, and it seems all the attention has shifted to what the team will do in the upcoming offseason in hopes of a better outcome in 2026.
So, as we slowly turn the page, here are nine potential first-round prospects that could be on the Cardinals’ radar leading up to April’s draft.
Paris Johnson Jr. will be manning the left tackle position for the foreseeable future. But with Jonah Williams...
Revenge of the Birds
The 2026 NFL season was supposed to become a playoff run. Now, the threat of double-digit losses is looming, and jobs are at stake for both players and coaches. And maybe even an executive or two.

Now, there are things to still shoot for.
DE Josh Sweat seems to be a shoo-in for a Pro Bowl nod. Perhaps DT Calais Campbell. Rookie CB Will Johnson might have a chance to be considered for the NFL Rookie Defensive Player of the Year award as well.
Because the Arizona Cardinals are already almost out of...

Happy Saturday one and all.
The Arizona Cardinals play an “early” game this week, and we will have more on that one in the morning. First though, we need to take a look back at the disappointing loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jess and I sit down and discuss the loss, the coaching decisions and what we liked and didn’t like from the game.
It is a great hour of talk about the Arizona Cardinals, so sit back, relax and enjoy.
