Let’s figure out who will be the MVP for the Cowboys in 2023.
Ranking the top players from the Dallas Cowboys will be difficult if they keep winning like this. The team faced Zach Wilson and Daniel Jones in back-to-back weeks, but it’s hard to deny what’s been happening on the field—the 2023 team is exceptional.
The Rules:
Each week, the top seven players from the game will be ranked.
Depending on how the Cowboys perform, there could be the same names or seven different ones every week. It won’t be based on just the best players on the roster....
Starting a season off 3-0 start is a big boost for an NFL team.
The Dallas Cowboys are 2-0. Dallas is likely to reach 3-0 before you have dinner on Sunday. We are talking about the NFL where anything is possible, but the Cowboys are (at the time of this writing) 12-point favorites on the road in the desert against their old division rival. Nobody is making any assumptions, but for the purposes of this conversation we are going to assume that the game goes relatively chalk.
So we are all presuming that Dallas will march out to their first...
The Cowboys are 2-0 without players like Tyler Smith or Donovan Wilson suiting up this season, but made a statement about their RB depth by releasing Ronald Jones.
The Dallas Cowboys have cruised to a 2-0 start, leaving only faithful Cowboys fans to discuss the nuance of what they’ve seen from the team and where they can improve in trying to reclaim the NFC East crown from the Eagles. The national media already has this team at or near the top of power rankings, and the scary thought for opposing teams is they’ve done so without last year’s first-round pick...
Pugh had said he would like to return to team that drafted him
Free agent offensive guard Justin Pugh completed a workout for the New York Giants on Wednesday.
Pugh was a first-round pick by the Giants in 2013 and played with the team through 2017. He signed with the Arizona Cardinals as a free agent in 2018 and spent five seasons there.
Pugh played only five games last season due to a torn ACL. Pugh told the ‘Valentine’s Views’ podcast a few weeks ago that he would be interested in a return to the Giants. Pugh said he wants...
How long can the Cowboys keep this up?
The second week of the new NFL season is over and the Cowboys are one of just nine teams that are undefeated so far. They pulled off the Full Sinatra by beating New York (Jets) a week after beating New York (Giants), and did so with a combined 70-10 score. The Cowboys have looked as impressive as any team in the NFL, and the advanced analytics reflect that.
To follow up on last week’s analytics roundup, all of the DVOA-related statistics that were unavailable last week are now up and running, as...
The latest news on Cowboys injuries
Though the Dallas Cowboys were shorthanded and without core players Brandin Cooks and Tyler Smith, the Cowboys outclassed the New York Jets in a comfortable 30-10 win. The Cowboys look ahead to this week against the 0-2 Arizona Cardinals, who have squandered multiple-score leads in their first two games. However, the Cowboys cannot afford to take this team lightly and hopefully can return to full strength sooner than later as they get back to practice this week.
The first injury report of the week was released today.
Tyler Smith practiced for the first time...
Andrew Thomas remains sidelined for Thursday Night
The New York Giants will be without some of their best players when they face the Sam Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football.
Head Coach Brian Daboll tried to keep the hope alive that Andrew Thomas and Saquon Barkley would be able to take the field against San Francisco. However both players have been ruled out.

Reinforcements could be on the way for the Cowboys Week 3 matchup with the Cardinals.
Reinforcements are on the way for the Dallas Cowboys!
Barring some kind of setback, Tyler Smith (hamstring), Brandin Cooks (knee), and Donovan Wilson (calf) all have a good shot at suiting up this week when the Dallas Cowboys take on the Arizona Cardinals. With their much-anticipated return, Dallas could be at full strength as a team for the first time all season.
Let that sink in for just a little bit.
Minus some of their key starters, the Cowboys have been able to outscore their...
D’Andre Swift grew up an Eagles fan, just like most of us. I’m sure we all dreamed at some point of playing for the Eagles but for various reasons (timing, injuries, lack of NFL level talent, bad luck), it didn’t happen. Swift however, had the talent to be a second-round pick in the NFL but the awful luck of being drafted by a team other than the Eagles. That meant he had to play AGAINST the Eagles. His job was to do his best to make the Eagles lose. I couldn’t do it, it would mess me up psychologically. But...
Jason Aponte of Niners Nation joins the show

Here are some of the things we discussed (times are the podcast version, not the YouTube version):

4:40 — Giants-49ers rivalry.
7:15 — Jason’s take on the 2023 Giants.

25:00 —...
Things are going well for the Dallas Cowboys. So well.
Two games in the books for the Dallas Cowboys, both of them dominant wins with the outcome never really in doubt. Let’s examine.
Don’t talk to me about the opponents, this kind of superiority is not at all common in the NFL
Very few games are truly automatic wins for even the best teams, because the worst rosters in the league are still composed of players who made it to the league over so many hopefuls who failed. It is not even easy for teams to tank, because those players...
After his 175-yard performance on Thursday night, the Eagles running back took home the conference honor for Week 2.
In what might be one of the least surprising things this week, Eagles RB D’Andre Swift was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after a super deserving performance against the Vikings on Thursday night.
Swift certainly took on the offensive load during Philly’s home opener, carrying the ball 28 times for 175 yards, plus three receptions for . It’s not like the Eagles had a whole lot of other running back options for the contest — Kenneth Gainwell was...
