The players listed with the DNP designation were: OL Kiran Amegadjie (calf), OL Ryan Bates (concussion), DB Elijah Hicks (ankle), and RB D’Andre Swift (groin).

Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd goes on NFI list

WR/QB Alex McGough was also added to the practice squad

The Green Bay Packers had running back MarShawn Lloyd, who was originally on the injured reserve for an ankle injury, return to practice last week — which opened up a 21-day window where the team needed to decide to bring him up to the 53-man roster or he’d revert to season-ending injured reserve. Unfortunately, Lloyd was discovered to have appendicitis, which will keep him sidelined even longer than that window allowed, just two days into his return.

At the time, head coach Matt LaFleur stated that he was unsure how...

Packers Injury Report: CB Jaire Alexander out on Wednesday’s practice

Packers Injury Report: CB Jaire Alexander out on Wednesday’s practice

Alexander was unable to finish the game against Chicago on Sunday

The only player on the Green Bay Packers’ 53-man roster to not suit up for Wednesday’s practice was cornerback Jaire Alexander, who dropped out of action versus the Chicago Bears on Sunday after just 10 snaps played defensively. According to head coach Matt LaFleur after the game, the plan was always to play Alexander — who was dealing with a knee injury — on a pitch count, but Alexander was unable to finish the game as it was apparent that he wasn’t at full health.

If there’s any silver...

The C.A.L.C.U.L.A.T.O.R POWER RANKINGS – Week 11

So much volatility at the top!

Week 11 is over, and for your abacus-based power rankings, Peter has you covered somewhere on this site, but over on this side we’re trying something a little different. We’re using top-of-the-line AI (quickly switches tabs to hide Excel) to generate objective rankings. Power rankings are all about arguing about why they’re wrong, and it’s one thing to be subjectively wrong like Peter, and it’s quite another to be objectively wrong. And so, in the spirit of being objectively wrong we have created C.A.L.C.U.L.A.T.O.R., the Comprehensive Analysis of League Competition Using Latest Analytics To...

Lions Week 12 injury report: Sam LaPorta ‘trending the right way’

Lions Week 12 injury report: Sam LaPorta ‘trending the right way’

The Detroit Lions released their Week 12 initial injury report, and it’s good news for tight end Sam LaPorta.

The Detroit Lions (9-1) are back on the road in Week 12, traveling to Indiana to take on the Indianapolis Colts (5-6).

Just like the previous two weeks, the Lions are starting the week slow and running a walkthrough to begin the practice portion of the week. Unfortunately, these types of practices are not open to the media, and therefore, today’s injury report will be based on how the coaches estimate players would have participated, had there been a full practice....

Detroit Lions add safety to practice squad, cut another

Detroit Lions add safety to practice squad, cut another

The Detroit Lions activated Brodric Martin, and added a new safety to the practice squad.

The Detroit Lions officially announced that Brodric Martin has been activated to the 53-man roster—as previously reported. But along with that move, the Lions also made a subtle change to their practice squad.

The team announced on Wednesday that they’ve cut safety, Erick Hallett, from the practice squad and replaced him with free agent safety Kaevon Merriweather.

Merriweather, a Belleview native, went undrafted in 2023 out of Iowa but quickly signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for his rookie season. He was good enough to...

Chicago Bears Sackwatch 2024: Week 11 vs Green Bay Packers

Chicago Bears Sackwatch 2024: Week 11 vs Green Bay Packers

Only three Chicago sacks to look at this week.

For most of Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers, I felt pretty good about the Chicago Bears' pass protection. The ball was coming out quickly, there were some nice easy throws schemed up, and Caleb Williams was handling the blitz well.

They ended up allowing three sacks, but all things considered, it was a positive step forward for the offense under new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown.

Getting Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright back at tackle was a plus, and yes, Jones wasn’t perfect, and his anchor issue popped up, but...
