A few changes being made
On Tuesday, the Minnesota Vikings made a handful of roster moves that have shuffled the practice squad a bit. Let’s run through all of them for you here.
The first move that the Vikings made was to terminate the contract of running back Myles Gaskin. Yes, again. The team then immediately turned around and signed him back to the practice squad. It’s worth noting that Gaskin has already been elevated from the practice squad to the main roster three times this year, so if the Vikings want to call him up again they’ll have to...

Per WXYZ in Detroit, police are investigating why Lions WR Jameson Williams avoided arrest on possession of a firearm without a concealed pistol license.
The off-field news on Detroit Lions WR Jameson Williams continues to go south.
According to WXYZ in Detroit, local Detroit police have begun an internal investigation into why Williams was not arrested during a traffic stop three weeks ago when he was found to have a firearm without a concealed pistol license.
Body camera coverage confirms that Williams was in the passenger seat while his brother was driving around midnight on October 8. They were pulled...
Some roster moves for the Bears today.
On Tuesday, the Chicago Bears put offensive lineman Bill Murray on injured reserve due to the pectoral injury he suffered against the Washington Commanders. No timetable was provided, but a pec injury is often season-ending. The open roster sport could be used for offensive lineman Larry Borom, who is in his 21-day practice window after his own IR stint.
Yesterday, it was reported that left tackle Braxton Jones would likely miss a game or two due to the knee injury he sustained on Sunday.
There have yet to be any updates on left...
Jamin Davis was added to Green Bay’s practice squad on Tuesday
The Green Bay Packers announced on Tuesday that they let go of practice squad linebacker Chris Russell, who originally signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent in mid-August, in order to clear a roster spot for the addition of former first-round linebacker Jamin Davis. Davis, the 19th overall pick in the 2021 draft, turned a breakout redshirt junior season at Kentucky — his first season as a starter — into a soaring draft stock with the help of his 4.47-second 40-yard dash time and a 42” vertical...
Should Eric Wilson keep the starting job when Quay Walker returns?
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Green Bay Packers fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
So far in his brief NFL career, Quay Walker has not lived up to his first-round draft pedigree. The first of two round-one picks by the Green Bay Packers in 2022, Walker has taken every snap on defense that he has been available for this season, wearing the...
The Bears have made some more moves to the practice squad.

The Detroit Lions have activated rookie guard Christian Mahogany to the 53-man roster.
The Detroit Lions announced on Tuesday that they’ve activated rookie offensive lineman Christian Mahogany from the non-football illness list. He now counts against the team’s 53-man roster and is eligible to play for the first time in his career.
Mahogany was the Lions’ sixth-round pick this year after being a three-year starter for Boston College. Although he was around for OTAs and minicamp in the spring, he contracted mononucleosis in the summer, which caused him to be placed on the non-football illness list and miss all of...
The Bears predictably dipped following their loss.
Sunday’s loss continues to reverberate around the NFL world with more talk about how everything went wrong for the Chicago Bears on the final Hail Mary. And then all of the head-scratching decisions made by the coaches both on that play and throughout the course of the game.
The loss to the Washington Commanders looks to be a pivot point in the season for the Bears.
They could bury this loss and push on with winnable games coming up and make it a bad memory. Or it could continue to bring up the...
The Bears lost a heartbreaker that they may not have deserved to win in the first place.
Sunday was such a frustrating loss for the Chicago Bears.
Coming off the bye week, winning three straight, so many good vibes, it seemed like things were finally improving for the team. It looked like the offense and quarterback Caleb Williams were hitting their stride.
But it all came crashing to a halt against the Washington Commanders. The offensive line looked like the first two weeks of the season. Williams looked like he lost all of the touch he’d shown during the winning...
And it could be bad for the Vikings
Ahead of their matchup with the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football this week, the Indianapolis Colts are making a change that could, potentially, be bad news for the purple.
Numerous sources are reporting that the Colts are going to bench last year’s #4 overall pick, quarterback Anthony Richardson, in favor of long-time veteran Joe Flacco for this week’s game.
Richardson has had issues with injuries this year, and in the Colts’ loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday he put on a pretty brutal performance. He completed just 10-of-32 passes on...
