The Philadelphia Eagles have won four in a row and are 6-2 heading into their NFC East matchup at the Dallas Cowboys.
All is well in Philly, but head coach Nick Sirianni threw an odd curveball out there during a recent press conference in the form of a confusing health update on quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Asked why Hurts was limited at practice, Sirianni may have revealed more than he wanted to.
“It was on the injury report dealing with the ankle. Just making sure we’re precautious with everything,” Sirianni said, via Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
#Eagles HC Nick Sirianni was asked about why QB Jalen Hurts was limited at Wednesday's practice:
"It was on the injury report dealing with the ankle. Just making sure we're precautious with everything."
Told that Hurts' injury designation was not "ankle," but "rest," Sirianni…

When told that Hurts’ injury designation was labeled as “rest” and not “ankle,” Sirianni replied, “I thought that you were talking about something else.”

That full exchange was a bit awkward, as it seems like Sirianni accidentally revealed something that wasn’t on the injury report.
There hadn’t been much indication that Hurts was dealing with any sort of injury, and though this doesn’t seem like it will cause him to miss time, it’s always a concern when your starting quarterback is playing through something.
Hurts has been playing well lately and hasn’t thrown an interception in his past five games while posting seven passing touchdowns and seven rushing touchdowns over that span, so, hopefully, this injury is a whole bunch of nothing.
The Eagles should have a relatively easy time with the Cowboys with Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott slated to miss the game with a hamstring injury.
Maybe Philadelphia can run the score up and get Hurts some rest late in the game.
