The Bills’ injuries on defense continue piling up
On Friday evening, the Buffalo Bills announced that defensive tackle DeWayne Carter was being placed on the Injured Reserve list with a wrist injury. The move came after head coach Sean McDermott had said that the rookie will need surgery to correct an injury he sustained, presumably, in Buffalo’s Week 7 win over the Tennessee Titans.
Earlier in the day, McDermott had said that the surgery would require Carter, who has become a strong part of the Bills’ defensive game, to miss “multiple weeks.” When asked about the possibility of the defensive...
Dion Dawkins has never played against the Seahawks in Seattle
Although Buffalo Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins has been in the NFL since 2017, there is one thing he has never done before: play at Lumen Field in Seattle. Home of the NFC’s Seattle Seahawks, their stadium is known for being extremely loud and rowdy, thanks to their fans, whom they lovingly refer to as the “12th man.” The only field that has topped the noise there by decibel level is Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium.
WGRZ sports reporter Jonathan Acosta recently asked Dawkins about his feelings on playing in Seattle....
Are the Bills looking to add another veteran pass rusher to the defensive mix?
Last week, the Buffalo Bills made NFL headlines thanks to a trade with the Cleveland Browns that brought wide receiver Amari Cooper to One Bills Drive. Cooper’s first game with Buffalo went well, and the hope is that his addition more fully solidifies the entire wide receivers room moving forward.
Is it possible that general manager Brandon Beane isn’t done adding talent to Buffalo’s roster this season? With Brandon Beane, Bills Mafia has learned that anything’s possible. There are those in the national media who believe...
Terrel Bernard, DeWayne Carter, and Curtis Samuel will all be in street clothes on Sunday.
The Buffalo Bills ruled out three players ahead of their Week 8 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. Linebacker Terrel Bernard and wide receiver Curtis Samuel are two starters who won’t be in uniform on Sunday and, while rookie defensive tackle DeWayne Carter is a rotational piece of the defense, his presence will be missed as well.
For Bernard, it’s his second stint on the inactive list. While it was a pectoral strain that saw him miss two weeks of play in September, it’s an ankle...
The Bills seek a road win against a first-place team
For the second consecutive week, the Buffalo Bills will face off against one of Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon’s former teams. Last week, the Bills beat the Tennessee Titans (formerly the Houston Oilers) 34-10. This week, they’ll travel to Washington State to take on the Seattle Seahawks.
The Bills didn’t escape last week’s victory unscathed, as they’re dealing with some injuries that put their lineup for Sunday’s game in a bit of flux. Some big-time players are looking like they’ll be questionable for the game at best. All that...
Two first-place teams are set to square off in Seattle
The Seattle Seahawks host the Buffalo Bills this week in the first meeting between these clubs since the 2020 season. In that game, the Bills rode an incredible performance from quarterback Josh Allen (31-of-38 passing for 415 yards and three touchdowns, adding seven carries for 14 rushing yards and another score) en route to a 44-34 win.
That was the second 400-yard game in Allen’s career, and it still ranks tied for the second-most passing yards he’s thrown for in a single game. Coming off his first 300-yard passing game...
What position is Brandon Beane going to tackle at the trade deadline?
Welcome back to our weekend chat, Buffalo Bills fans.
Last week, the Buffalo Bills added wide receiver Amari Cooper to the fold, but afterward, general manager Brandon Beane wouldn’t rule out fine-tuning the roster even more as the trade deadline approaches.
I have some position groups I’d like to suggest, but we want to hear from you in the comments, too!
I actually think Micah Hyde is the answer at safety if he’s willing to come back. We might see...
