What position is Brandon Beane going to tackle at the trade deadline?

Welcome back to our weekend chat, Buffalo Bills fans.

Last week, the Buffalo Bills added wide receiver Amari Cooper to the fold, but afterward, general manager Brandon Beane wouldn’t rule out fine-tuning the roster even more as the trade deadline approaches.

I have some position groups I’d like to suggest, but we want to hear from you in the comments, too!

Buffalo Bills should trade for a safety

I actually think Micah Hyde is the answer at safety if he’s willing to come back. We might see him right after the trade deadline start to ramp up. That being said, the Bills could still bring in a reinforcement at the position, though I don’t think there is anyone on the trade market better than Mike Edwards, who has been a healthy scratch for much of the season.

Would the Bills trade for another wide receiver?

Buffalo has been getting little out of Curtis Samuel and now he’s hurt. Could they add another slot receiver, and maybe one that fits Brandon Beane’s penchant for adding players with more than a few games left on their deal? It’s probably unlikely, but I would be cool with another slot receiver in the mix or someone who could take the remainder of Mack Hollins’ offensive snaps.

Pass rush is the most likely trade candidate for the Bills

If the Carolina Panthers are selling, I am interested in Jadeveon Clowney. Heck, if any team wants to help bolster Buffalo’s pass rush, I’d be cool with it. It would help out the injured linebacker corps and the sometimes-struggling secondary as the defensive gives up plays of 10 yards or more at an alarming rate. Greg Rousseau seems to be playing out of his mind on the left side and Von Miller is set to come back on the right side next week, but adding in a rotational piece would be a nice step up.

Defensive tackle is a sneaky need for the Bills

With Dewayne Carter dealing with wrist surgery and DaQuan Jones underperfoming in 2024, it might be time for the Bills to add reinforcements in the middle of their defensive line. Again, this would help out those struggling linebackers, too.

Depth on the offensive line could be pricey, but necessary

Every NFL teams wants more help on the offensive line and Buffalo has a pretty steep drop from starters to reserves. They are one injury from a large hole. The problem is a bunch of playoff contenders already have a hole on the offensive line, so they may be more desperate than the Bills right now.

So tell me Bills fans, which position would you target if you were Brandon Beane? Have a specific player in mind?
