Roster moves: Giants claim QB Nathan Rourke off waivers from the Patriots

The Giants add another QB as their off-season program starts to roll

The New York Giants claimed QB Nathan Rourke off of waivers from the New England Patriots, per a report from NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.

Rourke is a former CFL quarterback who was selected in the second round of the 2020 CFL draft after three years as the quarterback for the Ohio Bobcats in college. He previously tried out for the Giants at wide receiver in their 2021 rookie mini-camp, but didn’t receive a contract offer. Rourke then returned to the Canadian League for the 2021 and 2022...

Kenny Gainwell Sheds Some Light on Why the Eagles Collapsed Last Season

Kenny Gainwell was on a podcast and answered what he thought contributed to the Eagles collapse last season:

Kenny Gainwell on #Eagles collapse last year: “I think it was a connection piece. Teams like KC are well-connected, upstairs and downstairs. Front office and locker room. When you have a connection, everything just clicks. But when you got guys that aren’t talking to each other,… pic.twitter.com/7bMNvScItP

This organization really hated each other last year, huh? Jeff McLane also reported the team was miserable even after starting 10-1, which honestly gives me...

Setting the year one expectations for Cowboys third-round draft pick Cooper Beebe

What should the Cowboys expect from Cooper Beebe in 2024?

The new car smell hasn’t even worn off the Dallas Cowboys 2024 draft class, but already people are making plans. With a haul featuring three players with a good chance to make an immediate impact, it’s hard not to feel excited. And considering their previous draft class had a very under-performing rookie season, this new crop feels like a breath of fresh air. Over the weekend, we examined what the upcoming season might look like for first-round pick Tyler Guyton and second-round pick Marshawn Kneeland. Today, we’ll discuss third-round selection...

What We Learned About Adam Peters in the 2024 Draft – Part I

What We Learned About Adam Peters in the 2024 Draft – Part I

Best player available and breaking from the herd

Shortly after Adam Peters was hired, I wrote an article about what changes to expect in Washington’s approach to the draft based on how he ran San Francisco’s drafts since 2017.

With his first draft in Washington in the books, I am pleased to say the new GM was just as advertised. The Commanders’ 2024 draft was like nothing we have seen since, well, ever. Peters stuck to his board and picked players who fit the direction his coaching staff want to take the team. He avoided mortgaging the team’s future in...

The Philadelphia Eagles have a new star in town.

Signing Saquon Barkley may have been one of the biggest moves of the offseason, and the fans should be very excited about what’s to come.

The Penn State product hasn’t wasted a second to get used to his new team.

Recently, the Eagles got the fans hyped up — and the rest of the league scared — by sharing a clip of Barkley getting some work in with Jalen Hurts.

Predicting the day and times of the Cowboys upcoming schedule

Predicting the Cowboys 2024 schedule, and a preview of their opponents.

The NFL knows how to milk every ounce of their offseason to build anticipation. The Senior Bowl, the NFL Combine, and the NFL Draft have become a bigger spectacle with each passing year to lure the attention of fans as a primer before minicamps and the start of training camps. Yet, one of the most exciting aspects of the offseason is the release of the schedule. Knowing where and when the Dallas Cowboys play further adds to the immersion of the experience. Whether it’s setting days off for PTO...

Excess talent at TE will force the Cowboys into tough decisions

Excess talent at TE will force the Cowboys into tough decisions

Rookie minicamps are underway as an influx of 257 drafted rookies gathers along with another few hundred undrafted free agents to begin their quests to make an NFL roster.

Some rookies can look absolutely terrible on the practice field, but their draft status gives them immunity from anything other than media criticism.

Others like late-round picks and undrafted free agents can have an incredible minicamp but still not make a roster over higher draft picks or established veterans.

This happens every year across the NFL, and one of the intricacies of managing a roster is deciphering whether or not a...

Schedule release expected by NFL on Thursday

The 2024 NFL schedule is expected to be released either this Thursday evening or on the 16th at the latest. The NFL has always released the schedule on a Thursday.

A few years ago it switched for releasing the schedule in April to early May.

There will be a schedule release show on the NFL Network, likely starting at 7 p.m. on whichever Thursday the league does decide to release it on.

The complete week-by-week schedule, and all 32 teams' schedules as well, should be released that same night.

3 trades for players the Dallas Cowboys should consider

3 trades for players the Dallas Cowboys should consider

Future draft capital could help the Cowboys find immediate help.

The Dallas Cowboys could be flush with draft picks in 2025 after recently being projected to receive the max number of four compensatory picks next year. They could choose to sit on that extra draft capital for use in the 2025 NFL Draft or they could go ahead and put it towards finding some immediate help for this upcoming season.

With several areas still of concern, even after the eight rookies they've added through the 2024 NFL Draft, the Cowboys would be wise to leave no stone unturned. There are...

Eagles Film Review: Where is Cooper DeJean’s best fit in the secondary?

A closer look at Philadelphia’s second-round pick.

With the 2024 NFL Draft over, it’s time for some film rooms on the Philadelphia Eagles’ rookie class. I will try and get to all nine draft picks and some UDFAs over the next few weeks. Loads of scouting reports will say very similar things, so I have tried to include film clips to back up everything and I will talk about the player’s fit with the Eagles at the end of the piece. I manage to get the all22 on several rookies, but I can’t share those clips on my own Twitter...
