The Cowboys injury report for Wednesday.
Looking to turn the page after Monday’s blowout loss to the Houston Texans, the Dallas Cowboys are back in the building looking for answers in a season quickly slipping away. However, some players are looking for the infirmary after last week’s lengthy injury report and the barrage of injuries that forced several players to leave Monday’s game. Here’s what we know regarding the health status of the team.
DaRon Bland (foot) returned to practice in full and may be on his way to finally playing this season.
Zack Martin (ankle/shoulder) was listed as DNP on Wednesday. Martin has been playing through injuries most of the season so today’s absence is out the ordinary. Still, we’ll see as the week progresses if the injury will cause him to miss this week’s game.
Tight end Jake Ferguson also did not practice after sustaining a concussion that forced him out Monday’s game and he is in the league’s protocol for head injuries. Guard Tyler Smith (ankle/knee) did not practice Wednesday along with FB Hunter Luepke.
Although he fully practiced, Tyler Guyton (shoulder) was listed with an injury. Among those who did practice were CeeDee Lamb (back/foot), Jourdan Lewis, Eric Kendricks, and Chuma Edoga (toe), all were limited.
Additionally, the Cowboys designated Brandin Cooks (knee) and Marshawn Kneeland (knee) to return practice. Both players were limited.
For the Commanders:
For the Washington Commanders, Zach Ertz (rest) didn't practice Wednesday. Also, newcomer Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) hasn't practiced since joining the team and didn't practice today. Meanwhile, former Cowboy Dorance Armstrong (knee) was a full participant.
