Bronco snap count and analysis for win over the Panthers

Who played and who didn’t?

The Denver Broncos game-day inactives against the Carolina Panthers were: Zach Wilson, PJ Locke, Kris Abrams-Draine, Alex Palczewski, Greg Dulcich, Dondrea Tillman, and Eyioma Uwazurike. Both Locke and AP were inactive because of injury. The rest were healthy scratches.

Offense

Our QB and our entire OL played every snap with the exception of one kneel-down snap at the end of the game where Matt Peart, Frank Crum and Calvin Throckmorton got to play on offense. Peart had three other offensive snaps where he served as the 6th offensive lineman.

Our tight end group was...

Broncos feel confident and prepared ahead of tough two game road trip

The Denver Broncos are 5-3 and second in the AFC West. Next on their schedule, they will hit the road to face two AFC powerhouses in the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.

Despite riding the high of a dominant win over the Carolina Panthers, the Broncos know they need to get back to work and clean up some mistakes.

“That is why we have to get back to work. I do not feel like we put our best out there [today],” Broncos linebacker Jonathon Cooper said after the win over the Panthers. “I still feel like we have not...

Broncos at Ravens preview: Denver looks to steal road game as heavy underdog

The Broncos face a big challenge on the road in Baltimore this Sunday. Here’s what Denver must do to get the win.

Just about everyone will say that Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos have no shot this Sunday.

There’s no question the Broncos (5-3) face a massive challenge in the Baltimore Ravens (5-3) in Baltimore. To make matters more difficult, the Ravens just lost to the Cleveland Browns. So Lamar Jackson and Co. will be even more motivated this Sunday.

Unsurprisingly, the Broncos are heavy underdogs at +9.5 and +385 on the moneyline.

Needless to say, a win this...

Broncos film review: Alex Forsyth pass protection against the Panthers

Broncos film review: Alex Forsyth pass protection against the Panthers

Alex Forsyth may have just secured the starting center spot with the Denver Broncos after his performance against the Carolina Panthers.

Over the course of Denver Broncos training camp there was a bit of a position battle at center. With Lloyd Cushenberry III securing a fat paycheck in Tennessee, what was left was a seemingly wide-open spot for either Luke Wattenberg or Alex Forsyth to grab.

Wattenberg had the edge heading into camp and pretty much held the starting spot throughout the summer and preseason. Forsyth was good, but the experience of Wattenberg and slightly better play was too much...

Broncos Reacts Survey: If Denver trades an edge rusher, who should it be?

Broncos Reacts Survey: If Denver trades an edge rusher, who should it be?

The NFL trade deadline is rapidly approaching. Should the Denver Broncos trade one of their edge rushers?

With the report that the Denver Broncos may be shopping either Baron Browning or Jonathon Cooper ahead of the NFL trade deadline, I thought today’s topic could center around which of the two you’d prefer to move if one is to be moved.

This might surprise some people, but Cooper is actually a year older than Browning. Both came into the league together in the 2021 NFL Draft when the Broncos drafted Browning in the third round and Cooper in the seventh.

Horse Tracks: Should the Broncos entertain trade offers for Courtland Sutton?

Horse Tracks: Should the Broncos entertain trade offers for Courtland Sutton?

The Denver Broncos aren’t likely to be buyers at the trade deadline with a young developing team, but could they possibly get value for a WR that won’t likely be a long term starter?

Hear me out, Broncos Country. This is just me playing arm-chair general manager and dreaming that a team offers a 2nd round pick for Sutton straight-up. I don’t think it is likely. I don’t know if it is the right move.

But for the long-term future of the team, I don’t see Sutton being a major piece of the puzzle unless he really wants to retire...

Denver Broncos in playoff hunt because they’re winning in the trenches

The Denver Broncos are in the playoff hunt currently, as the No. 5 seed in the AFC.

At 5-3 on the season, the Broncos are winners of three straight games. And there’s lots of praise to go around. Sean Payton’s coaching, Vance Joseph’s coaching of the defense, Bo Nix’s play; all of them deserve props.

But the reason they’re sniffing a playoff berth is the tremendous play in the trenches.

Broncos currently are the 5th seed in the AFC

If the season ended today (it doesn’t), the Denver Broncos would be the 5th seed in the AFC.

If the season ended today, and it doesn’t, the Denver Broncos would be the 5th seed and the top wildcard team in the AFC. In this scenario, they would play the Buffalo Bills on the road in the first round of the playoffs.

Again, there is a lot of football to go, but it is nice to see the Broncos in this position at the halfway mark of the season. They sit at a 5-3 record and have won five of their...

Week 9: Where do the 5-3 Denver Broncos stand in NFL power rankings?

Week 9: Where do the 5-3 Denver Broncos stand in NFL power rankings?

Here’s where the Denver Broncos are showing up in this week’s power rankings around the NFL.

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done a pulse check on the Denver Broncos standings within the NFL rankings around the web. After their three-game win streak, they were topping around in the high teens. However, they’ve added another two out of three in the win column and are now firmly in the AFC playoff picture.

Reviewing these rankings, I came to the conclusion that people at the national level in the media have no idea what to make of this football team....

Broncos vs Panthers: The No Bull Review

Broncos vs Panthers: The No Bull Review

The Denver Broncos took care of business at home against the Carolina Panthers. Here are my thoughts, opinions, and analysis on a quality learning win.

What felt good to me about this game was that the Denver Broncos for the first time in what feels like ages faced an inferior opponent on paper and handled business even after multiple game-losing mistakes. In the recent past, we’ve seen the Broncos fold and tighten up after an early turnover and being down 7-0, but this team handled it in stride.

Good teams handle bad opponents. This is part of learning how to...

Stats the way uh-huh, uh-huh: Bronco stat review for the win over the Panthers

Stats the way uh-huh, uh-huh: Bronco stat review for the win over the Panthers

The defense dominated and Bo Nix had himself a day

The Denver Broncos defense is currently third in points allowed per game at 15.0 just behind the second place Pittsburgh Steelers who have given up just one fewer point this season.

The Bronco defense is currently still leading the league in yards per play. They are second in sacks at 30, but the Giants, who are first, have not played yet this week. They currently have 31. With 30 sacks in 8 games, the Bronco D is on pace for 64 which would be a franchise record. This would be...
