Fans got a taste of what could be expected going foward, and boy, was it nice.
The Indianapolis Colts appeared to be at a crossroads three weeks ago. The future of the franchise found himself on the bench in favor of the steady hand of a veteran presence. It seemed that the “Anthony Richardson Experience” was over, and it didn’t seem to sit right with the majority of fans. Many didn’t doubt that some additional discipline and commitment to the cause could be necessary because the results on the field didn’t translate to a player destined to lead the team...
The Texans beat the Cowboys 34-10 in Week 11 to improve to 7-4. Check out their complete schedule and results for the 2024 season. All times are Central Time.
The Houston Texans are 7-4 through Week 11 of the 2024 NFL season. They are still in first place in the AFC South. The Texans beat the Cowboys 34-10 this past week.
Esteemed takesman Charles McDonald is a firm believer.
Trey Lance’s appearance in Monday Night Football prompted an online conversation about the 2021 NFL Draft quarterback class.
Former SB Nation blogger and current Yahoo Sports! NFL writer Charles McDonald responded to a Bluesky post claiming Justin Fields to be the best player from that group.
McDonald stated: “i think trevor lawrence might actually be the most underrated player in the entire league”
An alum of The Falcoholic, McDonald has long been a legend in the NFL’s online community. He’s covered the league for a decade and is widely known as a...
Building the Tennessee Titans’ roster through a 5-round NFL Mock Draft
The Tennessee Titans are currently scheduled to own the No. 2 overall selection in April’s 2025 NFL Draft following Sunday’s defeat to the Minnesota Vikings. The loss dropped the Titans to a hapless 2-8.
Starting quarterback Will Levis showcased growth in Sunday’s loss. Levis made various big-time throws, including a historic 98-yard touchdown to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. If the sophomore signal caller continues stacking quality performances to close the season, he may still convince Brian Callahan and Ran Carthon that he deserves another opportunity in 2025.
It’s worth acknowledging that...
It feels good to be a fan of the only NFL team in Texas.
Football is weird. You can feel the deepest pit of despair at one point and then be sitting pretty at the end of the night.
Such is what happened for the Houston Texans tonight against the Dallas Cowboys.
Going into halftime, we had seen this story before: a sputtering offense bolstered by a defense doing its absolute best to keep the Texans in it while also, somehow, looking like they were doing anything but that.
The first quarter started very well with a 45-yard touchdown run...
Thanks to the nflFastR project, Pro Football Focus and NFL NextGen Stats for the timely sources of data.
For those of you new to this, I will publish key QB stats each week judging how well the upcoming opponent QB has performed. Yes, O-Line, receivers, and play-calling impact these numbers but they are primarily QB measures. I will probably modify the charts throughout the season. Commentary will be brief but feel free to let me know in the comments that stats aren’t everything. (click charts for larger view)
Prior to this game, there was a lot of talk about...
This game feels like a dud. The Dallas Cowboys, without Dak Prescott, are a 7.5-point underdog (Bet at FanDuel Sportsbook) at home against the Houston Texans. I will be cheering for the Cowboys because #NeverTexans, but I probably won’t spend much time watching this one. I can’t see how it will be entertaining at all. Give me the Texans to win this one by two touchdowns.
I don’t have a good feel on the total of 41.5. It feels like and under, but the Texans could do enough on defense to score 30 or more points.
Here’s an interesting question,...
The NFL equivalent of the Red River Shootout (since one of these teams is Oklahoman).
Once every four years, we get to relive the first matchup the Houston Texans ever played. For those of you too young to remember (personal note: crap, I’m old), the Texans’ first ever game in franchise history was a Monday night showdown against Quincy Carter and the Dallas Cowboys.
The Texans, understandably, were underdogs going into their first ever game; and, let’s be honest, the hype surrounding the Cowboys is as undeserved as it is unrelenting.
Funny how some things never change even after all...
C.J. Stroud has been dormant too long…tonight, he makes his return.
Ten weeks into the 2024 NFL season, and the Houston Texans are war-torn, yet in control of their destiny in the AFC. Losses like those against the New York Jets and Detroit Lions will put a plucky young team like the Texans in the doldrums, but next up is one of their most anticipated games of the entire season: playing the Dallas Cowboys, in Dallas. Now their third prime time game in a row and coming hot off the announcement that Beyoncé will be performing in the Christmas Day...
The Titans lost to the Vikings 23-13 in Week 11 dropping them to 2-8. Check out their complete schedule and results for the 2024 season. All times are Central Time.
The Tennessee Titans are 2-8 through Week 11 of the NFL Season. They are currently in last place in the AFC South. They lost to the Vikings 23-13 last week.
Everything is bigger in Texas!
And we close off Week 11 of NFL football with a Dallas’ football game, as the Cowboys (+ 285) host the Texans (- 350). With starting quarterback Dak Prescott out for the Cowboys, Cooper Rush is set to start again, while the Texans have star wide receiver Nico Collins returning to the mix. The Texans open up as 7.5-point favourites, with the OU for the game at 41.5 points.
The Cowboys were absolutely demolished by the Eagles last week, as their playoff hopes are slowly starting to crumble away. Cooper Rush could not get...
Sometimes all it takes is a second chance
After two games on the Joe Flacco experiment, the coaching staff (and with the information we have at our disposal we can only assume the decision to bench AR was entirely on the coaching staff in the first place) reversed the decision and went back to the young quarterback. The offense had their best game, with Richardson leading the charge as the running game got stifled probably due to the fact that the offensive line was missing 3 of their starters. AR5 finished with over 300 total yards, and three...
