Former SB Nation blogger and current Yahoo Sports! NFL writer Charles McDonald responded to a Bluesky post claiming Justin Fields to be the best player from that group.
McDonald stated: “i think trevor lawrence might actually be the most underrated player in the entire league”
An alum of The Falcoholic, McDonald has long been a legend in the NFL’s online community. He’s covered the league for a decade and is widely known as a “ball knower” — so it's encouraging to see McDonald share the opinion of other such analysts across national media including Nate Tice, Steven Ruiz, Ben Solak, Derrik Klassen, etc.
Through Week 10, Lawrence ranked outside the top 15 in just about every standard statistic, but he was eighth in Points Earned, 10th in PFF grade and 11th in adjusted EPA per play, suggesting he’s performed better than results would indicate.
