It’s another indication of how impossibly different things are with this franchise now. This wasn’t Dan Snyder gassing up his private jet and pulling out his checkbook to buy the prettiest, shiniest ornament, no matter whether it made sense on his tree. (Albert Haynesworth, with Mike Shanahan? What could go wrong?) This was a calculated...
The Commanders offense and Steelers defense is a strength versus strength matchup. Who comes out on top?
The Washington Commanders face another litmus test this Sunday when the Pittsburgh Steelers come into town. The Commanders' offense against the Steelers defense will be one of the premier strengths-versus-strengths matchups of this early season, as Washington's offense ranks in the top three in yards and points, and the Steelers defense ranks second in points and ninth in yards.
Washington should mirror the New York Giants' rushing success against Pittsburgh, as they ran for over 150 rushing yards in their Monday night matchup....

Previewing Philadelphia’s NFC East matchup against Dallas.
The Dallas defense is allowing the second-most offensive points per game in the NFL. What’s the reason for those struggles?
*The first reason you have to point to is the injuries. Their top four defensive ends, Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, Marshawn Kneeland and Sam Williams have either missed some or all of the...
A film session breaking down Brandon Coleman’s performance against the New York Giants in his first full-time start.
Brandon Coleman saw his fourth NFL start against the New York Giants last Sunday, but this is the first game of the season where he saw a full-time snap count, with veteran Cornelius Lucas being out due to injury. He primarily went up against the speed rusher Brian Burns, and for the most part, Coleman took care of business against one of the best pass rushers in the NFL this year. Burns came into the game against Washington ranking in the top...

One of the first things defensive coordinator Joe Whitt said at his Thursday press conference this week was that he doesn’t know when Marshon Lattimore — the CB just traded to Washington from New Orleans — will play. There are two potential issues. First is Lattimore’s health; he has missed time recently with the Saints due to a hamstring injury, and was listed as ‘not practicing’ on Washington’s Wednesday injury report with that hamstring. The second issue, of course, is that Lattimore’s coaches and teammates need to be confident that...

Injury updates
The Washington Commanders were on the practice field again today as they prepare for their Week 10 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Marshon Lattimore arrived at headquarters yesterday, but he hasn’t practiced with the team yet. He is dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him out of his last game with the Saints. Lattimore is unlikely to play on Sunday, and will have a short turn around as the team prepares to travel to Philly for a short week due to Thursday Night Football.

A shutout of the New York Giants’ sack machine demonstrates how far Bobby Johnson’s OL has come
Including “Commanders’ offensive line” and “elite” in the same sentence would have seemed crazy just three months ago. Heading into the season, there were major questions about the ability of the Commanders’ offensive line to protect rookie QB Jayden Daniels. After Sunday’s near shutout of the NFL’s best pass rush it’s worth asking whether the Commanders have pulled together one of the league’s best units in pass protection.
Throughout the offseason, the state of the OL was the subject of angst on Hogs...
Jayden Daniels put in another very good performance this week against the Giants, though it may have seemed a bit unremarkable since it featured no more than 2 or 3 incredible passes and no particularly spectacular runs. This week, with the Commanders never trailing and in possession of the ball for the final 2:46, the ending was rather anti-climactic and the outcome was never in any serious doubt. Still, it was an impressive performance by the rookie QB.
Daniels protected the ball as usual with no fumbles or interceptions in this road game against the...
It was inevitable
Washington Commanders rookie QB phenom Jayden Daniels has been know to take defenses’ souls and make them look silly in the process. That’s what happened against the Chicago Bears as Daniels, who was dealing with a rib injury, led his team to victory on an after the buzzer Hail Mary touchdown pass to WR Noah Brown. That play was the most watched moment of the season, and spawned several shirts of its own from our good friends at BreakingT.
They’re back with another great t-shirt immortalizing Jayden Daniels mid-air, while a Bears DB lays facedown on the...
Washington continues to rise
The Washington Commanders travelled to New Jersey last Sunday to complete their sweep of the New York Giants. Their offense neutralized their highly rated defensive line, and did it without starting RB Brian Robinson Jr. who was a pre-game scratch with a hamstring injury. Jayden Daniels played his second game after sustaining a rib injury early in Week 7. The rookie of the year looked good in another efficient outing that saw him throw two touchdowns to Terry McLaurin.
Washington has some tests coming up as people still question whether they are legit contenders after their...
