Washington continues to rise
The Washington Commanders travelled to New Jersey last Sunday to complete their sweep of the New York Giants. Their offense neutralized their highly rated defensive line, and did it without starting RB Brian Robinson Jr. who was a pre-game scratch with a hamstring injury. Jayden Daniels played his second game after sustaining a rib injury early in Week 7. The rookie of the year looked good in another efficient outing that saw him throw two touchdowns to Terry McLaurin.
Washington has some tests coming up as people still question whether they are legit contenders after their...

Breaking down how Jayden Daniels was so efficient as the Commanders beat the Giants again
Daniels was very efficient, completing 15 of his 22 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns while adding another 35 yards rushing. Daniels made a number of impressive throws but it was the efficiency that stood out over the flash plays.
On [this drive], the Commanders look...

Jane Slater of NFL Media reports that the initial diagnosis is a partial avulsion of his hamstring tendon, which is the tendon partially tearing off the bone. The recovery time typically is more than four weeks, which is the minimum stay required for an injured reserve stint.
Prescott is seeking other opinions, per Slater, before the Cowboys make a decision on whether...

Injury updates
The Washington Commanders enter their Week 10 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers with several players dealing with injuries. Marshon Lattimore arrived at headquarters today, but didn't practice with the team today. He was dealing with a hamstring injury, and GM Adam Peters said the team has his medical from the New Orleans Saints, and they will work him into practice when he is ready.
Cornelius Lucas suffered an ankle injury vs the Bears and didn't play vs the Giants. Brandon Coleman returned from concussion protocol last week, and handled the left tackles position. RT Andrew Wylie was also...

This week we have three questions in the Reacts survey.
Our first question this week is the one we ask every week — Do you feel confident in the direction of the franchise? We will track the results of this question throughout the season. For the past six weeks, the confidence figure has been at...
The big matchup of Week 10 in college football featured the 3rd-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions taking on the 4th-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. A mostly defensive battle between Big Ten foes saw the Buckeyes come out on top and replace the Nittany Lions in the rankings. Iowa State and Pittsburgh suffered their first losses of the year to Texas Tech and SMU, respectively. Clemson and Texas A&M had been rising in the rankings, but that came to the halt as both lost. Clemson was taken down at home by Louisville while Texas A&M fell on the road to South Carolina....

Breaking down the game of new Commanders CB Marshon Lattimore and why Washington traded for him
It’s no secret that the Commanders cornerbacks have struggled this year. They had a tough time early in the season matching up in man coverage against teams like the Buccaneers and the Bengals, giving up an average of over 300 yards passing in those games....
Does Marshon Lattimore instantly make Washington a serious contender in the NFC?
The Washington Commanders acquired New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore hours before the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday. Adding Lattimore was necessary from a depth standpoint and for several long-term reasons. The Commanders primarily used three cornerbacks for the first nine weeks: Mike Sainristil, Benjamin St-Juste, and Noah Igninoghene. Third-year safety Percy Butler has played 123 more defensive snaps than former first-round draft pick Emmanuel Forbes, who has just played 107 snaps on the season. Additionally, St-Juste is a solid cornerback but is very handsy and can run...

Philadelphia’s top competition in the NFC East just got better.
This development is bad news for the Eagles, who are currently chasing the Commanders for the NFC East lead. Lattimore, 28, is a pretty good player; he’s allowed just a 69.1 passer rating when targeted this season. That’s after allowing a 74.7 passer rating in 2023 and a...

Washington adds a CB, cuts a DE
Efe Obada released to open roster spot for Lattimore:
Official:
The smoke around New Orleans Saints CB Marshon Lattimore was getting more frequent this morning and a trade looked inevitable. There were several teams interested, and it sounds like it came down to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Washington Commanders. GM Adam Peters made an offer that the Saints couldn’t refuse, and he adds another piece to a 7-2 team that has quickly readjusted to their fast start to the season.
Marshon Lattimore was the 11th overall pick in the 2017 NFL...
