Sam Howell has just been traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. This will be Howell’s fourth team, and he’s been traded three times. Howell was a 5th-round pick by the Washington Commanders in 2022. He became the starter the following year, and led them to a 4-13 record. This led to HC/GM Ron Rivera getting fired, Adam Peters and Dan Quinn getting hired, and Jayden Daniels getting selected No. 2 overall.
Howell was traded to the Seahawks after he went for a walk with Adam Peters. He served as Geno Smith’s backup, before getting traded to the Kevin O’Connell QB Rehabilitation Facility with the Minnesota Vikings. Howell was listed as QB2 behind starter J. J. McCarthy, but now he heads to Philadelphia to compete for a backup spot behind Jalen Hurts.
