2 Raiders make next cut in Hall of Fame vote

Will this be the year?

Former Raiders stars, guard Steve Wisniewski and defensive back Eric Allen have both taken the next step to Canton, Ohio.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Wednesday morning that both Wisniewski and Allen are among 25 modern-day semifinalists to be elected into the museum in February. The list will be cut down to 15 finalists next month and the 2025 Hall of Fame class will be announced in February,

The inclusion of Wisniewski is a surprise. He was last a semifinalist in 2014, so this momentum toward election wasn’t expected. It is not a...

Explaining how the Chiefs lost to the Bills on third downs

Explaining how the Chiefs lost to the Bills on third downs

The key difference on Sunday was the success on third down (on both sides of the ball).

There has been a lot of consternation over the Kansas City Chiefs’ record and point differential this year, but despite some of their struggles, they were 9-0 coming into the game.

What set the Chiefs apart was their third-down execution on both sides of the ball.

On offense, the Chiefs are first in third-down conversion rate. This is often when Patrick Mahomes becomes a superhero, uncorking ridiculous throws out-of-structure or scrambling. On defense, the Chiefs aren’t quite as efficient — they rank 21st...

Broncos at Raiders preview: Denver looks for season sweep of Las Vegas

The Broncos hadn’t beaten the Raiders in eight games, now they have the chance to win two in a row over their rivals.

The Denver Broncos just had one of their complete and dominating wins in a long time.

Bo Nix put up one of the best games a rookie quarterback has played in the NFL.

Now the Broncos (6-5) are in the thick of the AFC Playoff picture and a legitimate NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate. Now Denver will look for the season sweep of the Las Vegas Raiders (2-8) on Sunday. Prior to their 34-18 win...

The Las Vegas Raiders are in a six-week drought regarding the win column. Losing to the Miami Dolphins 34-19 continues their ugly streak that doesn't seem to have an end.

Antonio Pierce made changes to the offensive staff, which improved the offense. The team only punted once, but the defense didn't force a...

Week 12: Where do the 6-5 Denver Broncos stand in NFL power rankings?

Week 12: Where do the 6-5 Denver Broncos stand in NFL power rankings?

Here’s where the Denver Broncos are showing up in this week’s power rankings around the NFL.

Bo Nix and the Broncos got things right back on track after a brutal loss in Kansas City from that blocked game-winner. They dismantled the Atlanta Falcons in convincing fashion and are back above .500.

It has been a few weeks since I’ve last did a pulse check on Denver’s rankings around the league. For me, looking over the NFL landscape, I think the Broncos are coming along nicely. If I had to rank them today, I’d put them right there around 12th. They...
