Schedule reactions, game-by-game predictions for Cardinals in 2024

Talking all things Arizona Cardinals 2024 schedule.

Happy Saturday one and all.

Apparently when your kid wants to keep playing baseball you get up and go to baseball at local community colleges on Saturday’s now, so that is where I will spend my day.

In the meantime, you saw my game-by-game predictions for the Arizona Cardinals yesterday, now listen in to the why.

Jess and I discuss each game, what we are thinking about them and the overall feel of things heading into this season.

It is a great discussion and an excellent way to kickoff your weekend.

Golden Nuggets: No rest advantage, no problem

Your daily San Francisco 49ers news for Friday, May 17th, 2024

49ers’ schedule ranks among NFL’s worst rest differentials since 2002

“That marks two consecutive seasons where San Francisco got stuck with the worst rest differential in the league, with the 49ers 2023 total also ranking in the top-10 worst differentials over the last two decades.

The most glaring hurdles for San Francisco’s scheduling woes will be the four games it plays against opponents who are coming off a bye week, which is a difficult task in itself but magnified even further by the quality of the teams...

Your daily San Francisco 49ers news for Saturday, May 18th, 2024

Dre Greenlaw walking without aid, but here’s why 49ers are bracing for delayed return (paywall)

“If Greenlaw returns in Week 5, when the 49ers host the Cardinals on Oct. 6, he would be nearly eight months removed from his injury. That wouldn’t place him on a particularly fast timeline when it comes to his recovery.

Dr. Kenneth Jung, a foot and ankle surgeon who is a consultant to the Los Angeles Rams, told the Chronicle in February that a torn Achilles used to routinely sideline players for 9-12...

Seahawks 2024 draft class officially under contract

Everyone from Byron Murphy II to Michael Jerrell has inked their respective rookie deals.

The Seattle Seahawks have taken care of their 2024 draft picks.

Sixth-round offensive lineman Michael Jerrell, Seattle’s last draft choice, also doubles as the last one to sign his contract. Seattle previously announced on Friday that third-round guard Christian Haynes had agreed to terms.

Once Jerrell and Haynes have their contract information made available on OverTheCap (which I anticipate happening early next week), we’ll do a rundown on each contract and how they impact Seattle’s salary cap.

Under the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, signing draftees is...

Schedule makers give the Rams a small break vs. the NFC North in 2024

Schedule makers give the Rams a small break vs. the NFC North in 2024

LA will get to play at Chicago before the cold of winter kicks in for the first time since 2012

The Los Angeles Rams have been schedule to play in at least one NFC North away game every season since 2015. In that time space, the Rams are only 2-8 on the road facing these four teams from the Midwest. This season though, it looks as though schedule makers are doing LA a favor, lining up all of their NFC North opponents before Week 8.

Instead of fighting the cold of years past, the Rams will play their only outdoor...

Deommodore Lenoir identified as the 49ers’ most underrated player

Lenoir will have competition this season, but his impact during the past couple of seasons should not be ignored

In 2023, Deommodore Lenoir proved he belonged in the NFL. Lenoir started 17 games for the Niners and, per Sports Info Solutions, only allowed one touchdown on 74 targets. In one season, Lenoir outplayed his fifth-round draft status. Now, heading into a contract year, Deommodore wants to prove he’s worthy of a lucrative second contract.

Pro Football Focus went through each team to identify every underrated player. For the Niners, it was Lenoir:

While Lenoir, a former fifth-round pick, became...

Beaux Limmer could end up as a steal and the most important depth piece for Rams on the offensive line

When the Los Angeles Rams entered the offseason, there was some uncertainty on who the team would play at center. With Coleman Shelton’s contract set to expire and Brian Allen released, the Rams didn’t have an active center on the roster. Following the Senior Bowl, it was thought that they could draft a center such as Jackson Powers-Johnson who dominated in drills in Mobile. Instead, the Rams confirmed what some were thinking by saying that Steve Avila would move to...

Seahawks almost done signing 2024 draft class

Add Christian Haynes to the list of Seahawks draft picks now under contract.

The Seattle Seahawks are just about finished with getting their 2024 draft class under contract.

On Friday, the team announced that third-round pick Christian Haynes has agreed to terms on his rookie contract. Since he wasn’t taken in the first round, he’s not eligible for a fifth-year option.

One of the most pressing needs for the Seattle Seahawks entering last month’s NFL Draft was the guard position. Left guard Damien Lewis inked a free agent deal with the Carolina Panthers, while right guard Phil Haynes remains an...

Examining the toughest stretch of the 49ers schedule: There are no gimmes after Week 11

Examining the toughest stretch of the 49ers schedule: There are no gimmes after Week 11

The 49ers will be battle tested heading into the playoffs

The NFL impresses me with its ability to make moments of off-season landmarks, from the combine to the draft to the schedule release. Sure, leaks take away from the overall reveal, but once the schedule is officially revealed, fans begin to mark games to travel to and begin their initial predictions for their favorite teams. Of course, the 49ers are going 20-0, by the way.

Teams’ opponents are set in the previous year, so the schedule shows when teams will match up. Will your team play on a holiday? How...

49ers open up as nearly a touchdown favorite over the Jets in Week 1

That’s right. Odds for a game in September.

For the second season in a row, the San Francisco 49ers are favored to win every game during the regular season. It worked out well in 2023, as the Niners ended up as the No. 1 seed in the NFC and eventually made the Super Bowl.

One of the biggest surprises of all the available odds was the Week 1 line. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Niners are 5.5-point favorites over the New York Jets.

A team with Aaron Rodgers, Garett Wilson, Breece Hall, a first-round offensive lineman who was the best...

PFF cites this Rams rookie as the ‘best fit’ at his position in 2024 draft class

PFF cites this Rams rookie as the ‘best fit’ at his position in 2024 draft class

The Rams traded up for Braden Fiske and PFF thinks they got the best DT they could get

The Los Angeles Rams traded up to get defensive tackle Braden Fiske out of Florida State and according to PFF’s Trevor Sikkema, they got the best fit for their defense that they could get in the draft. Sikkema, who incorrectly cited a trade cost that would have been easier to swallow than giving up next year’s second round pick, named the best fit at each position in the draft. The Rams and Braden Fiske were the choice for defensive tackle:
