Should the Eagles sign him?!
March 7, 2023: The New York Giants signed Daniel Jones to a four-year contract worth $160 million.
November 22, 2024: The New York Giants waived Daniel Jones.
Whoops!
The Jones era effectively ended earlier this week with the Giants going into tank mode and benching him to prevent his injury guarantee for 2025 kicking in. But now it’s super duper officially over.
It’ll be interesting to see where Jones lands next. He’s subject to waivers but no team is going to claim his remaining contract.
Given their self-proclamation as The Quarterback Factory, we have to...
With Daniel Jones benched and Dak Prescott injured, the Giants-Cowboys matchup on Thanksgiving sure lost some intrigue and excitement. It wasn’t shaping up to be a good game regardless, but that holiday showdown somehow got worse with Tommy DeVito and Cooper Rush projected to be the starting quarterbacks.
The Cowboys have a chance to do the funniest thing, though.
Jones, who was released by the Giants on Friday, would be the ultimate signing by the Cowboys after he clears waivers. And fans desperately want to see Jerry Jones sign the former Giants quarterback to set up a revenge game on...
Dan Quinn speaks to the media after practice
Dan Quinn spoke to the media after the Washington Commanders held their practice in the bubble today due to the weather. He named this week’s team captains, before getting to some injury updates. Washington traded multiple draft picks to the New Orleans Saints on November 5th, but he still has practiced with the team due to a hamstring injury. Quinn ruled him out for Sunday’s home game against the Dallas Cowboys., but said there is optimism that he can make his debut with Washington next week against the Tennessee Titans. Lattimore has...
Do you think the Cowboys defense will have any kinds of success against Washington?
Previously we broke down the offense for this week’s upcoming game for the Dallas Cowboys. Now we dive back into the position battleground, this time looking at how the defensive positions and special teams stack up against each other.
What more can we say about this defensive line we haven’t already complained about this season? The sad fact is this Dallas defensive line has allowed more rushing touchdowns than any other team in the NFL, and only the Carolina Panthers have allowed more...
One day after Daniel Jones all but said goodbye to the New York Giants at his press conference by reading a statement, the team officially said goodbye to the quarterback.
On Friday, the Giants shockingly released Jones after five-plus seasons. The move came after Jones approached team president John Mara and asked to be released, which the Giants granted him.
Jones had been demoted to QB4 and wasn’t going to play another snap this season, so the Giants did right by him and will now allow him to play elsewhere after he clears waivers. With a $160 million contract, this...
It’s the end of an era:

Should the Eagles waive Kenny Pickett and sign Daniel Jones? Add him to the quarterback factory? You know someone is gonna bring it up on sports talk radio. Maybe they already have. Jones is going to clear waivers and become a free agent, and my gut tells me that Jerry Jones is gonna bring him to the...
Jones asked for release after meeting with John Mara
One day after saying he was still “processing” his benching and figuring out what to do about his future, Daniel Jones asked for and received his release from the New York Giants on Friday morning.
Here is co-owner John Mara’s statement:
“Daniel came to see me this morning and asked if we would release him. We mutually agreed that would be best for him and for the team. Daniel has been a great representative of our organization, first class in every way. His handling of this situation yesterday exemplifies just that....
The New York Giants have announced that quarterback Daniel Jones has been released, 24 hours after he read an emotional goodbye.
“Daniel came to see me this morning and asked if we would release him. We mutually agreed that would be best for him and for the team,” co-owner John Mara said. “Daniel has been a great representative of our organization, first class in every way.
“His handling of this situation yesterday exemplifies just that. We are all disappointed in how things have worked out. We hold Daniel in high regard and have a great appreciation for him.
“We wish...

The Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams will meet in a key NFC matchup this Sunday.
While the Eagles are leading the NFC East at 8-2, the Los Angeles Rams are on the outside of the playoff picture with a record of 5-5.
If the Rams can pull off the win, it could be huge for their hopes down the road.
However, NFL analyst Ross Tucker believes Philly will secure the road win this weekend.
“I’m having a tough time picking a team like the Rams to beat the Eagles…24-20 Birds,” Tucker said in a video that he posted...
Eagles fans will be rooting for the Dallas Cowboys this week.
There’s an old saying, “The division rival of my divisional rival is my friend.” Okay, that’s not exactly how it goes but it certainly fits this week in the NFC East. The Philadelphia Eagles, now atop the standings after last week’s victory over the Washington Commanders, hope to extend their lead in Week 12. But to do it, they’ll have to do the unthinkable and root for the Dallas Cowboys.
The Eagles moved into first place last Thursday night with a home win over Washington, improving to 8-2 and...
