The Washington Commanders lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 28-27, and are now 7-3 for the season. The Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Dallas Cowboys, and that win put them a half game ahead in the NFC East. Washington gets their chance to jump back into 1st place when the two teams meet in Philadelphia for a Thursday Night Football game.
The Commanders open up the week as 3.5-point underdogs against the Philadelphia Eagles. The O/U opens at 48.5, which is five points higher than last week. Washington was one of the hottest teams in the NFL, but injuries have been adding up. The mistakes and missed opportunities are also adding up, and were a big part of their loss to the Steelers yesterday. The Eagles are on a 5-game winning streak, and they’ve been improving from a slow start. They’ve scored 28+ points in their last four games, and will need to score that much and more to hold off Washington’s offense. Brian Robinson has missed the last two games, and he would be a welcome return if his hamstring is ready.
