Buffalo Bills midseason awards
Welcome back to our weekend chat, Buffalo Bills fans.
We made it past the halfway point of the season, so it’s time to name some midseason awards for the Buffalo Bills.
Let’s get this out of the way: Josh Allen is the MVP and the offensive player of the year for the Bills. So I am taking him off the table. Drop your answers in the comments.
If he had been healthy all year, it’s probably Taron Johnson or Terrel Bernard. You can make an argument for Greg Rousseau, but I am going to give it to James Cook who leads the team in touchdowns and yards from scrimmage.
James Cook has 8 touchdowns and leads the Bills in yards from scrimmage but I am going Khalil Shakir. He’s second with 475 yards, automatic in the pass game, and you see how his absence impacted the Bills against Houston.
Bernard and Johnson’s injuries make this a clear choice for me. Greg Rousseau’s sack numbers, tackles for a loss, and QB hits are very impressive and without him, the Bills’ pass rush would have been pathetic this year. He’s also really good in run supprt.
All due respect to Ray Davis, but if you aren’t voting for Keon Coleman here, I am not sure what games you’ve been watching. He’s leading all rookie receivers in yards per catch and is fifth in yards and TDs.
I will keep giving this to Damar Hamlin as long as he is on the team. He’s played better as the season has worn on, too.
I am narrowly giving this to Joe Brady over Bobby Babich. Brady’s offense has looked dynamic all year and really taken the pressure off Josh Allen.
So who do you have on your lists and why?
Welcome to the weekend, Buffalo Bills fans. After a long week, it’s time to blow off a little steam. Use this thread to talk about... well, whatever it is you’d like to talk about. Maybe you’d like to share a cool story from your week.
