Efe Obada released to open roster spot for Lattimore:
Official:
The smoke around New Orleans Saints CB Marshon Lattimore was getting more frequent this morning and a trade looked inevitable. There were several teams interested, and it sounds like it came down to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Washington Commanders. GM Adam Peters made an offer that the Saints couldn’t refuse, and he adds another piece to a 7-2 team that has quickly readjusted to their fast start to the season.
Marshon Lattimore was the 11th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft, selected by the Saints out of Ohio State. He’s been voted into the Pro Bowl four times, and he was the Defensive Rookie of the Year. His issue recently has been staying healthy. Lattimore has only played 24 games over the last three seasons, and he’s dealing with a hamstring injury, He played in 7 of the Saints 9 games this season, and will come to Washington as the CB1.
