Could Tyler Boyd reunite with Brian Callahan?

Now that the NFL Draft has concluded, Tyler Boyd will likely sign with an NFL team in the near future.

Sadly, it likely won’t be the Cincinnati Bengals, especially after the team spent a third-round pick on Alabama wideout Jermaine Burton.

It does appear we could see Boyd reunited with Brian Callahan, as the veteran has reportedly set up visits with the Tennessee Titans, as well as the Los Angeles Chargers.

This, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

In 120 career games over eight seasons with the Bengals, Boyd has caught 513 passes for 6,000 yards and 31 touchdowns. Primarily working as the team’s starting slot receiver, Boyd hasn’t had a 1,000-yard season since 2019, the first year Callahan and Zac Taylor came to Cincinnati.

Even so, Boyd has consistently been among the game’s best slot wideouts, so he’ll be signed before the 2024 season kicks off.

Set to turn 30 years old in November, Boyd was hoping to land one more big payday in free agency, but his market never developed this offseason. He’ll now likely end up signing a small one-year deal in hopes of cashing in next offseason.

The Titans currently have DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, and former first-rounder Treylon Burks at wideout, so they don’t have as pressing of a need.

As for the Chargers, they have Ladd McConkey, Joshua Palmer, and Quentin Johnson, so they could definitely use more firepower.

Best of luck to Boyd wherever he ends up!
