The Commanders offense and Steelers defense is a strength versus strength matchup. Who comes out on top?

The Washington Commanders face another litmus test this Sunday when the Pittsburgh Steelers come into town. The Commanders' offense against the Steelers defense will be one of the premier strengths-versus-strengths matchups of this early season, as Washington's offense ranks in the top three in yards and points, and the Steelers defense ranks second in points and ninth in yards.

Washington should mirror the New York Giants' rushing success against Pittsburgh, as they ran for over 150 rushing yards in their Monday night matchup. Alternatively, with Jayden Daniels being his dual-threat quarterback, the Steelers have not yet faced off against the caliber of quarterback he is. It will be essential for Kliff Kingsbury to effectively utilize Daniels as the 11th man in the run game.

The Steelers' defense is also stingy, ranking fourth in the NFL with 15 turnovers forced. Washington has done an excellent job protecting the football against similar defenses this season. They have turned the ball over just three times. The turnover battle can be viewed as another strength-versus-strength battle Washington aims to win on Sunday.
