Can Bo Nix pass his way out of Arrowhead stadium against the Chiefs?
The big tests continue for the Denver Broncos in Week 10. After a tough loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Denver goes on the road again to play the Kansas City Chiefs.
Sitting at 5-4, and 3rd in the AFC West, Sean Payton’s team is in the toughest stretch of games the Broncos will have all season. And what we should all know is this test will be important, but not the end of the season.
As Ian St. Clair and I discussed on Odds and Endzones, the Broncos season does not hang in the balance this week. Some outlets might want to tell us losing to the Chiefs is the end of the season, but I don’t agree.
Let’s be clear, I am not shrugging my shoulders and saying this game doesn’t matter. No shoulder shrug, but I am acknowledging that I don’t think it is the end of the season if they can’t steal a win at Arrowhead Stadium.
The path the playoffs might get a little tougher, but they are still as likely to finish 10-7 and get into the playoffs if they lose to the Chiefs.
I am focused more on how the Broncos defense bounces back this week. Pat Surtain II will be matched up against DeAndre Hopkins. That’s worth watching. It feels a bit like a heavyweight fight. Two of the best at what they do going straight at each other. It should be fun.
Bo Nix will get to experience the hostility of a game in Kansas City. There’s nothing quite like it in the rest of the league. He will definitely be learning something this week. And that’s what I care about.
How does Nix look in this type of game. A tough environment, bad weather, an elite team in the NFL on the other side. Big day for learning.
Have some fun Broncos Country.
