How can you follow this matchup?
Welcome to game day, everybody! This afternoon, our Minnesota Vikings will attempt to keep their 2024 record unblemished when they host the Houston Texans at U.S. Bank Stadium. We want everyone to be able to keep up with all of the action from Minneapolis, so here’s how you can do just that.
This game will kick off at the best possible time for NFL action, that being noon Central time on Sunday. The game will be covered by the folks from CBS, WCCO-4 in the Twin Cities, with Ian Eagle and Charles Davis handling the call from the booth. Below is the broadcast map from the good folks at 506 Sports. If you are in the blue area, your local CBS affiliate will be showing the Texans/Vikings game.

For our men and women in uniform overseas, the American Forces Network will be airing this one LIVE on AFN Prime Atlantic. Kickoff is slated for 1700Z, which equates to 1900L for everyone in Central Europe, 2000L for those on Arabian Time, and 0200L on Monday morning for fans in Japan and Korea.

For those of you who are going to use satellite radio to listen to this one, you can find the feed from the Vikings Radio Network on SiriusXM Channel 226. You can listen to the Niners’ feed on Channel 381 if you feel compelled to do so for whatever reason. If you’re using the SiriusXM app, the Vikings’ permanent home there is on Channel 820.
According to the gang at Football Zebras, this week’s officiating crew will be led by Son of Gun Show, Shaun Hochuli. The last time the Vikings saw Hochuli was last October at Lambeau Field, as his crew called the team’s 24-10 victory over Green Bay.
This game won’t be affected by the elements as it will take place inside of U.S. Bank Stadium, but if you’re planning on tailgating or anything like that, it should be a pretty nice day for it according to our friends at WeatherNation. The rain will clear out overnight and by kickoff we’ll be looking at temperatures in the mid-60s with winds out of the north at around 10 miles/hour.
The line has gotten more favorable for the Vikings in this one, as FanDuel now has them listed as a 1.5-point underdog to the Texans. It was 2.5 points to start the week. The over/under for this one currently sits at 45.5.
