The Denver Broncos head on the road to take on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Here is a deeper look at their Week 9 opponent.
A gridiron battle between two 5-3 teams looking to keep chase in a competitive AFC playoff race kicks off on Sunday when the Denver Broncos take on the Baltimore Ravens.
The Broncos are winners of five of their last six whilst the Ravens dropped their most recent game to the Cleveland Browns. A win by the Broncos would prove they are a formidable playoff contender. A loss will leave them with more work to do considering their remaining schedule.
What will it take for the Broncos to pull off a stunner on the road? Let’s take a deeper look at Denver’s Week 9 opponent and check that out!
The Baltimore Ravens finished with a 13-4 record and won the AFC North. Alas, their season came to an end after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs 17-10 in the AFC Championship Game. In 2023, their offense was 4th in points scored and 6th in yards gained. Their defense was 1st in points allowed and 6 in yards allowed.
The biggest signing for the Ravens this offseason that has produced results was the addition of running back Derrick Henry. Pairing him with Lamar Jackson was almost unfair to the rest of the league. Extending defensive tackle Justin Madubuike was also a great move.

Long story short, this is a really talented football team with premium players at a lot of positions. The Ravens are going to be the biggest test for the Broncos to date. Here are the two players they need to gameplan against on offense and defense.
Derrick Henry merits consideration for this spot, but everyone knows quarterbacks are king. Lamar Jackson has been great player since he came into the league. Pro-Bowler, All-Pro, Most Valuable Player—he has done it all except one thing. He’s still searching for the ever-evasive Lombardi Trophy.
So far, so good for Jackson this season. He has already surpassed 2,000 yards passing this year and has 17 touchdowns to just 2 interceptions. Jackson also has over 500 yards on the ground and two rushing touchdowns. He’s one of the best players in all of football. That’s undeniable. A true dual threat player capable of changing the tide of a game at a moment’s notice.
He is also one of the best quarterbacks against the blitz in the NFL and very good at evading sacks. On the flip side, Vance Joseph’s...
