Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler had a frightening moment against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Dallas Cowboys beat Washington, 34-26, on Sunday, handing the Commanders their third consecutive defeat. However, there was a small chance for the Commanders to get something done at the end of the game.
Austin Ekeler suffered an apparent injury in the club’s Week 12 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Ekeler was running the ball back on a kickoff when he got tackled and thrown face-first to the ground.
He would not move from the position that he was tackled in. It was obvious that Ekeler was knocked unconscious. The Washington Commanders running back was down for so long that the broadcast went into commercial, came back, and was still down on the ground.
He eventually got help to his feet and was able to walk off to the sidelines.
The Commanders are now 7-5 and have now lost three straight games at a key point in the season.
The worst of the losses came on Sunday to the Dallas Cowboys, who were missing as many as seven starters.
Now, the team falls even further behind the first-place Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East.
Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels finished with 274 passing yards, 72 rushing yards, three total touchdowns, and one interception.
