Raider Nation is dealing with the losses by getting excited by the future
The Las Vegas Raiders are on a bye this week but have changed their coaching staff. They fired Luke Getsy, offensive line coach James Cregg, and quarterback coach Rich Scrangerllo.
Scott Turner was made the interim offensive coordinator, and his father, Norv Turner, was added. Antonio Pierce will attempt to turn around a sinking season without help.
However, the Raiders’ rookies are performing well. Jackson-Powers-Johnson debuted on Sunday at the center and received a 90.1 grade from PFF. Brock Bowers remains one of the best tight ends in football, and DJ Glaze performed well. The Raiders do have pieces moving forward.
In this week’s SB Nation Reacts, we ask about your confidence in the team going forward. The team was at 16% heading into Week 9. We continue to see a rise in the number, as 24% of Raiders fans have confidence in the team going forward.
As the team rolls on with a new offensive coordinator and offensive coaching staff, it will be interesting to see if the numbers rise if they maximize the young weapons. Brock Bowers and Jackson Powers-Johnson are standout rookies so far, and a high draft would suit them well for the future.
