New Orleans brought in a group of receivers on Monday.

The New Orleans Saints worked out multiple receivers on Monday, including veteran speedster’s John Ross III and Phillip Dorsett II.

Ross spent all of training camp with the Philadelphia Eagles before being released during the team’s initial 53-man roster cuts. After setting the NFL Combine record at the time with a 4.22-second 40-yard dash in 2022, the former Washington Huskies WR has struggled to find a home in the league. At 5’11”–194lbs, staying healthy has been one of the main factors in the 29-year-old not appearing in a regular season game since 2021 with the New York Giants.

Dorsett (5’10”–192lbs) spent the 2023 season and 2024 training camp with the Denver Broncos but was released due to the team’s crowded WR room. The former Super Bowl champion has been a reliable deep threat throughout his NFL career, and it appears the Saints are looking for an experienced wideout with the ability to stretch the field.

Both former first-round NFL Draft picks left the facility without signing a deal, but with the season opener against the Carolina Panthers just six days away, any roster moves by the Saints are likely to be announced within the coming days.
