Let’s look at some prop bets to keep an eye on in Week 1.

Canal Street Chronicles and SB Nation are proud to partner with Fanduel Sportsbook, the top-rated sportsbook app, to bring you player and game props each and every week involving the New Orleans Saints.

The 2024 season will bring a new look offense for the Black and Gold under new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. Derek Carr has a full season and offseason in New Orleans under his belt and the chemistry with Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, and the rest of the offense looks to be the best it's been.

Here’s a few prop bets in terms of player performance that I’m keeping my eye on heading into Sunday’s season opener inside the newly renovated Caesars Superdome.

Derek Carr Over 275 Yards Passing (+300)

Carr threw for 300+ six times during the 2023 season, including the season opener against the Tennessee Titans. I think this offense will be more structured and use the motion game to keep the Carolina defense off balance, giving them the opportunity to get players open in the flat.

The other key here is Carr should be able to attack Carolina’s secondary, led by Jaycee Horn, who is still a young player in the NFL. If Carr was able to throw for 300-plus six times in a dysfunctional offensive system, imagine what he will be capable of in a system that everyone comprehends together.

Alvin Kamara 50+ Rushing Yards (-152)

We’ve heard the speculation all offseason about how AK is washed, and he’ll never get back to the production he once had (his stats haven’t truly dipped). However, this new system with Kubiak has been very successful for running backs in the past and I think Kamara will be no different. I look for him to have a nice start to the season in both rushing and receiving against Carolina.
