The Black and Gold seem to be getting no respect from national pundits.

With just days remaining until the start of the NFL season here in 2024, more power rankings and preseason speculation is happening throughout social media and beyond.

The FOX NFL Podcast released their final preseason power rankings before the start of the regular season Thursday night between the defending champs Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens. The New Orleans Saints once again got no love from the media as they were ranked 28th out of 32 teams in the rankings.

The Saints finished 9-8 in 2023 and missed the playoffs by just one game as several of their losses were in very close fashion. Looking back on the 2023 season, if you win just one more of the 8 losses, you’re in the playoffs instead of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, that wasn’t the case and now the Black and Gold have to respond with new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak taking over the reins of that group led by Derek Carr, Alvin Kamara, and others.

The Atlanta Falcons show up at 14th with the Bucs right behind them at 15th. The teams ranked below the Saints include the Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants, New England Patriots, and NFC South foe Carolina Panthers coming in as the worst team in the rankings.

The Black and Gold welcome the Carolina Panthers to the newly renovated Caesars Superdome on Sunday in a noon kickoff on FOX.
