It’s an early NFC South matchup for New Orleans’ season opener.

The 2024 NFL season is finally here, and the New Orleans Saints (0-0) will open their season at home in Caesars Superdome against the Carolina Panthers (0-0)

In what is an early NFC South matchup between these divisional opponents, the Saints are currently favored by 4.5-points against the Panthers according to FanDuel. The over/under is currently 41.5 points but there will surely be some movement on these odds as the week goes on.

Looking back at some of the moves that the Saints made during the offseason, starting with the signing of new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, making some solid draft picks in this year’s NFL Draft, and after evaluating their preseason performance, it’s not hard to see why the Saints are favored going into this game.

After ending the 2023 season with a 9-8 record and just missing the playoffs, the Saints have since made some significant changes, so there are many reasons to be excited for this season and what it can bring.
