According to a source of UniWatch, the Packers could be adding a white helmet as an alternate

In some non-draft news, we may be seeing the Green Bay Packers donning an alternate helmet this season. According to UniWatch, a site dedicated to all things sports uniforms, a source revealed the Packers are expected to add a white alternate helmet to their rotation this season.

Their source also said they were not expecting the Packers to release a full alternate uniform and said if there was an alternate uniform, it would be “so subtle that I couldn’t tell at first glance.”

While there are no photos or design details provided from UniWatch’s source, B/R Gridiron did recently release their own designs of alternate helmets for NFL teams on social media which included the Packers in a white helmet. While this was just a design they made for fun, we can get an idea of what a white helmet design might look like.

The Packers haven’t had a white helmet since the 50’s, starting in 1956 when they added a strictly white and green uniform to their lockers. In 1958, they got rid of the gold altogether and had only green and white uniform designs for the entire season.

That season they finished with a record of 1-10-1 which is still the worst record in Green Bay Packers history. The following season in 1959, aka Vince Lombardi’s first year with the Packers, they pivoted back to green and gold and have rocked a gold helmet ever since.

So what do you think, Packers fans? Do you like the idea of a white alternate helmet or not?
