Report: Jaguars WR Christian Kirk out for season with broken collarbone
Big Cat Country Big Cat Country

The Jaguars’ offense and locker room took a huge loss during Jacksonville’s loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars receiver room resembled something eerily close to an Emergency Room on Sunday afternoon, with the top three pass catchers (Brian Thomas Jr, Christian Kirk, and Gabe Davis) all leaving the matchup with injuries and never returning to the matchup. With the game in the books, after the 30-27 defeat to the Green Bay Packers, many fans' focuses immediately moved towards the future and health of the team. Unfortunately, just hours after the matchup, veteran, lockeroom leader Christian Kirk would be ruled out for the remainder of the 2024 season, per multiple reports.

Kirk was second in receiving yards in Sunday's matchup, with 59-yards on the day, behind Brian Thomas Junior's 60-yards receiving. The Kirk exited Sunday's matchup during the third quarter with what looked to be a collarbone or shoulder injury, while trying to bring in a 60-yard bomb from Lawrence. That injury has now been, reportedly, confirmed.

On the season, Kirk was second on the team with 25 receptions for 320 yards, and one touchdown catch. This will make back-to-back season-ending injuries for Kirk, who in 2023 was placed on IR after suffering a core muscle injury in week 13. As in 2023, Parker Washington will presumably slot into Kirk's role for the remainder of the season.
