The former Saint will receive his Heisman Trophy that was forfeited in 2010.

Former New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush is set to reunite with his Heisman Trophy after 14 years.

Bush forfeited his Heisman in 2010 after an investigation was launched by the NCAA into USC and concluded that the former Trojans running back received improper benefits during his time with USC.

In a new world of college football that now includes NIL deals for student-athletes that pay players for their image and likeliness, many fans have demanded the NCAA return the Heisman Trophy to Bush for his legendary season where he rushed for 1,740 yards and 16 touchdowns on 200 attempts.

The former second-overall pick was grateful for the return of his trophy stating “Personally, I’m thrilled to reunite with my fellow Heisman winners and be a part of the storied legacy of the Heisman Trophy, and I’m honored to return to the Heisman family” per ESPN.

Bush was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2006 and was a part of the 2009 roster that saw New Orleans win their first-ever Superbowl. Bush, a former All-Pro with the Saints, was inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame in 2019 and is considered a Saints legend in his short time with the team.
