Action Jackson takes over.

It’s Monday night, so you know what that means, Monday Night Football and this one is between two 4-2 teams, the Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Bucs get the scoring started for the night as Baker Mayfield hits Mike Evans for a 25-yard touchdown to start the game. They also kicked a field goal later on in the first quarter giving them a 10-0 lead entering the second quarter. However, after an injury to Mike Evans the Bucs offense stalled out the rest of the second quarter. This allowed the Ravens to take control of the game in the second quarter scoring 17 unanswered points taking a 17-10 lead into halftime.

The second half was a high scoring one, mainly because of the Baltimore Ravens completing a multitude of big plays in the second half, which included a 49-yard touchdown pass to Rashad Bateman and an 81-yard run from Derrick Henry to put the Ravens in the red zone to setup a touchdown pass to Mark Andrews. These plays broke the game wide open as the Ravens went on to score 17 unanswered points to take a 34-10 lead. The game was far from over though as the Buccaneers scored three times late in this game, with one of these scores came after the Bucs recovered an onside kick. The score of this game made it looker closer than what it was mainly because of some late game heroics from the Buccaneers but the Ravens end up prevailing on Monday Night Football 41-31.

This game was one that I would categorize as an entertaining blowout. The game started off competitive as the Bucs scored first and set the tone for the game. But Evans’ injury was costly for the Bucs offense, which was pretty much nonexistent after, outside of the late game scoring. This game was all around bad for the Bucs as they lost both of their top two receivers to injures. The Chris Godwin injury was terrible, especially since he got hurt late in the game down 10 with 40 seconds left. On the other side of things, this game firmly put Lamar Jackson in the MVP race again, as he was phenomenal last night. Jackson went 17-22 281 yards and 5 touchdowns, making him the catalyst behind the Ravens win last night.
