LA is a 2.5-point favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook over New Orleans
The L.A. Rams look to avoid an upset-minded New Orleans Saints team that has won back-to-back games, with the Rams a 2.5-point favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook. LA defeated New Orleans 30-22 on Thursday Night Football last season en route to a postseason return after a one-year hiatus.
That was a game to throw out and never speak of ever again. The Rams got ran out of SoFi Stadium following a 37-20 loss to the Eagles. It was the Saquon Barkley show on Sunday Night Football as the Philly star rushed for a career-high 255 yards and had 2 touchdown runs of 70+ yards. The closest LA got came after Matthew Stafford threw a 2-yard score to Demarcus Robinson with 10:51 remaining in the third quarter to get the Rams within six. While the game sucked, enjoy this play from Jared Verse to vent your frustrations instead of taking it out on your Cooper Kupp plushie.
The Saints were on a bye in Week 12, yet have found some momentum under interim head coach Darren Rizzi. New Orleans has won two straight under Rizzi since the in-season firing of Dennis Allen, and demolished the Browns 35-14 entering the break. Derek Carr completed 21-of-27 passes for 248 yards and 2 touchdown passes. However, the star of the win over Cleveland was Swiss Army knife Taysom Hill, who had seven carries for 138 yards and 3 touchdowns, while adding 50 receiving yards on eight receptions. The one-of-a-kind Hill won NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his heroic efforts.
LA doesn’t really have much to play for as their playoff hopes were likely dashed in primetime. However, the Saints are a beatable opponent despite them coming off a bye. The Rams should take their frustrations out on a flawed New Orleans team, unless they let Taysom Hill account for over 300 all-purpose yards, which at this rate doesn’t seem outside the realm of possibility.
