Using his draft history, here are the Raiders’ GM’s options he might desire in the 2024 NFL draft
The Las Vegas Raiders' new general manager, Tom Telesco, is the Raiders' first veteran at the position. With over 30 years of scouting and front-office experience, Mark Davis hoped that a seasoned decision-maker could push the team to success.
Telesco was the GM of the Los Angeles Chargers for the past ten seasons. He built teams full of stars, but it didn't lead to consistent wins on the football field. The former Chargers GM's efficiency with first—and second-round picks is part of the reason he built preseason excitement. He drafted Pro Bowl and All-Pro players who produced at a high level.
It becomes essential for Raiders fans with the blunders of first-round selections who have walked through the facility. Telesco has a formula that has led to players contributing, mixed with star power.
Regarding the offensive line, Telesco has done well at left tackle. Rashaan Slater was a good pick, and Jamaree Slayer was solid at guard and tackle. Of course, former Raider DJ Fluker was his biggest miss at the position, but he has improved over the years.

We can see Telesco's tendencies using Arjun Menon from the PFF tool. He is a fan of players with athleticism but undersized compared to the prototypical offensive tackle. For Telesco, not many prospects fit the profile athletically. It will be interesting to see where the quarterbacks fit the profile, with a few coming right under thresholds.

When looking into the numbers, Troy Fautanu is the perfect tackle for Telesco. The former Washington Huskie had a terrific combine after starting the last two seasons at left tackle. On film, Fautanu is a technician who can help with his athleticism in the zone run scheme.
Fautanu is not perfect and needs to clean up a few items. However, his athletic profile matches linemen who have been successful in the past for Telesco. He could be the pick at 13.
Roger Rosengarten

The next player on the list is Fautanu's teammate, Roger Rosengarten. Rosengarten was the correct tackle for the Huskies to start the last two seasons across from Fautanu. He matches the athleticism of his counterpart with a 4.92 at 308 pounds. His profile matches Rashan Slaters, which is why he will be on Telesco's radar.
Rosengarten's skill set intrigues him, but he should be a second-round pick based on film. He has technique issues, but he was able to depend on his athleticism to win in college. He will have to fix these issues at the next level and will need coaching.
