Playoffs? Yes, the Broncos have a legitimate shot at making the NFL playoffs

Looking ahead at the schedule, the Broncos could reach 10 wins, giving them a great shot at the playoffs.

Good morning, Broncos Country!

This is rare territory for the Denver Broncos.

There’s debate as to whether the Broncos should be buyers at the NFL trade deadline (they should, especially for a playmaker at tight end or receiver). Denver is in the playoff picture. Yes, there is a lot of football to be played, but it feels like 84 years since this kind of attitude and belief existed around this franchise.

One of the questions that Adam Malnati and I discussed on the Broncos Odds and Endzones podcast this week is whether this is a playoff team. Obviously, Denver must beat the Carolina Panthers today. That would put them at 5-3 at the halfway point of the season.

Looking ahead at the schedule, the Broncos could reach 10 wins. Of course, the floor could collapse as it did a season ago, but 10 wins are a legitimate possibility. That’s especially true with how good the defense is and if Denver is able to consistently run the football to help take some of the pressure off Bo Nix.

There are a little over two months remaining in the season, but this is rare territory for the Broncos over the last decade. And it’s a lot of fun.
