Adam Thielen has been added to the active roster from the IR (hamstring) among other transactions coming from the Panthers front office.
The Carolina Panthers front office is busy throughout the season with transactions, roster moves, and injury updates. Here’s what’s happening at Mint Street this week.
At the time of publication, the Panthers team website was experiencing a technical glitch and was not displaying the Week 11 injury report, so hopefully that gets fixed soon. In the interim, here’s ESPN’s version of the Panthers injury report.
Activated WR Adam Thielen from injured reserve. The veteran came to the end of his 21-day practice window to return from IR from his hamstring issue, so the Panthers have placed him on the active roster. Thielen’s looming return can only help quarterback Bryce Young as the young signal caller (hopefully) continues to make progress in the second half of the year.
Waived TE Jordan Matthews then signed him to the practice squad. The converted wide receiver has bounced around the Panthers roster over the last two seasons. In five career games with Carolina the 32-year-old veteran has zero receptions on one target. This year he has played 26 offensive snaps and 61 on special teams.
