Kansas City is hosting Las Vegas in its first-ever Black Friday game.

When the (10-1) Kansas City Chiefs return home for Week 13, they’ll be trying something new: hosting an NFL game on Black Friday — the post-Thanksgiving shopping day that is dreaded by millions, but is a day off from work for millions more. And what better team to face than the league’s Men in Black: the (2-9) Las Vegas Raiders?

When these teams last met at Allegiant Stadium during Week 8, the Chiefs dealt the Raiders a 27-20 defeat (their fourth straight loss) while extending their own record to 7-0. Since then, the Las Vegas losing streak has extended to seven games, while Kansas City has collected one loss to go along with three more wins.

Under head coach Andy Reid, the Chiefs are 19-4 against the Raiders. But the last time these longtime AFC West rivals met on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City was forced to swallow a 20-14 loss during one of 2023’s Christmas Day games.
