Christian McCaffrey, as expected, is also active.
The San Francisco 49ers listed their inactive list as they get set to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Defensive end Nick Bosa, who suffered a hip injury during Wednesday’s practice, went through a pre-game warm-up and determined he could play through his hip pointer. Bosa will be active today. The 49ers' pass rush would have been non-existent had they missed their best player.
Safety Malik Mustapha, who did not practice this week due to a calf strain, will also play. The 49ers elevated Tashaun Gipson from the practice squad, but he’ll likely be on special teams as Mustapha was healthy enough to play.
Kicker Jake Moody and wide receiver Deebo Samuel are also active today. Here are the inactives for today’s game:
QB Josh Dobbs (third QB)
CB Charvarius Ward
WR Chris Conley
DT Kevin Givens
TE Brayden Willis
OL Ben Bartch
Khalil Davis figures to take the reps of Kevin Givens.
No Conley means Jacob Cowing and Ronnie Bell, and perhaps one of the defensive backs, will need to step up on special teams. But Deebo and Jauan Jennings playing means that Bell shouldn’t need to see any third-down targets.
