Will Bills vs. Dolphins, Round 2 also go Buffalo’s way in 2024?
The Buffalo Bills are headed back to Orchard Park, NY, having just laid waste to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8. It was a thorough dismantling, and a 31-10 victory where Buffalo never trailed Seattle at Lumen Field.
Incredibly, the Bills were neither undone by penalties (13 for 85 yards) or turnovers via miscues (1 INT, 1 FUM). The inclement weather should have benefited the Seahawks, yet served as hardly more than a speed bump for a few minutes of the afternoon.
The Bills are now 6-2, with 3.5-game lead on their nearest AFC East rivals— none other than the 2-5 Miami Dolphins set to head up to Orchard Park, NY next weekend. Entering Week 9, the Buffalo Bills opened as 6.5-point favorites (-6.5) with FanDuel Sportsbook. The moneyline for Buffalo opened at -295 (bet $295 to win $100 with Bills win), while Miami opened at +240 (a bet of $100 earns $240 with Dolphins win). The over/under opened at 47.5 points (O -115 Dolphins / U -105 Bills).
When Buffalo and Miami met in South Beach for Week 2 earlier this season to open Thursday Night Football it was a night to forget for Fins fans. The Bills left Florida with a 31-10 win and 2-0 record. Worse yet was the concussion that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered, which sidelined him four games, and renewed plenty of concern for his long-term health and short-term decisions.
