With the Jaguars entering its bye, here’s a look at the rest of the division’s matchups this weekend.
The Jacksonville Jaguars enter its Week 12 bye with a 2-9 record, and possibly, without a head coach.
The Jags are on pace to finish last in its division for the first time since 2021. The 2-9 Titans aren’t doing much better, though expectations weren’t nearly as high for Tennessee entering the year. It appears to be a two-way race between the 6-4 Texans (who play tonight) and the 5-6 Colts for the 2024 AFC South title.
Here’s a look at this week’s divisional games.
The Texans are 8.5-point home favorites against the Titans next week, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, and the total is set at 42.5 points. Houston has suffered a one-score loss in three of its past four games, so an inspired effort from DeMeco Ryans’ squad is expected both tonight and next week against Tennessee. Meanwhile, rookie head coach Brian Callahan is doing all he possibly can with second-year pro Will Levis starting for the Titans.
The Colts are 7.5-point home underdogs against the Lions, and the total is 50.5 points. Indianapolis won its first game in a month on Sunday after re-naming Anthony Richardson as the starting quarterback, but they have a tough test next week against the 9-1 Lions, who handed the Jaguars their worst loss in team history yesterday.
