The DBN staff predicts the Week 7 games, plus the national media make their predictions for Bengals vs. Browns.
Here is what the national media is saying about the Week 7 game between the Browns and Bengals:
The battle of Ohio isn’t what we thought it might be when the season started. The Browns are awful on offense, while the Bengals have struggled on defense. Something has to give here. I say Joe Burrow plays well and the Bengals defense will to continue what other defenses have done to the Browns this season, which is to make Deshaun Watson struggle. Bengals win it.
The Bengals aren’t far from getting back in the wild-card discussion, and they won’t take their reeling cross-state rivals lightly in the Battle of Ohio. Joe Burrow can pick apart a broken-down downfield pass defense while Deshaun Watson will face too much heat from Cincinnati’s revamped pass rush.
The Battle of Ohio has been a tough one for Joe Burrow in the past. He is 1-5 S/U against the Browns, and Cincinnati needed a late TD to put away the Giants in Week 6. Cleveland is last in the NFL in total offense (240.2 ypg.) and has not scored more than 18 points in a game this season. Despite that rough track record in Cleveland, this might be the game that sparks some changes for the Browns when it comes to Deshaun Watson at quarterback.
