Several of Jordan Love’s teammates and Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud also shared congratulatory messages following the news:

After sitting behind Aaron Rodgers for three years, Love took over as the Packers’ starting quarterback in 2023. The four-time league MVP was traded to the New York Jets just ahead of the draft, opening the door for the 2020 first-round pick to emerge as the new franchise QB in Titletown.

In his first season as Green Bay’s starting QB, Jordan Love threw for 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns against 11 interceptions. The magical run continued with a blowout win over the second-seeded Dallas Cowboys on Wild Card weekend, marking the Packers’ first playoff victory in three years.

The Packers narrowly upset the heavily favored and eventual NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round, losing a heartbreaker 24-21 after Love threw a late interception.
