As we approach the mid-way point of the 2024 NFL season, what does the order for the 2025 NFL Draft look like?

The 2024 NFL regular season is moving in Week 8, closing in on the mid-point of the season and giving us an idea of how things may shake out this season. Earlier today, we took a look at the current NFL playoff picture, breaking down who is in a position to claim a spot in the postseason tournament. Now, we turn our attention the other way and look at the current 2025 NFL Draft order.

The draft’s selection process is ordered by the inverse of the league’s standings. Whichever team has the worst record in the league claims the first selection. The order continues that way, using strength of schedule as the primary tiebreaks for any teams with identical records (and potentially making the playoff picture standings and the draft order slightly different), through the non-playoff qualifying teams. The teams in the postseason tournament are ordered based on when they lose in the playoffs, ordered among that group based on records. The winner of the Super Bowl claims the 32nd and final pick in each round.

In the draft order below, the playoff teams are ordered simply based on their records - so a division leader may be behind a wild card qualifier if they have a worse record.
